RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent will be responsible for:




  • Work in accordance with NRC policies, tools, manuals and guidelines.
  • Support in the monitoring and evaluation (qualitative and quantitative) of all activities undertaken in the intervention area.
  • Prepare the terms of reference of evaluations, studies, project surveys and its quarterly work plan for the monitoring and evaluation of interventions to be validated by the M&E Officer and share with the relevant technical managers and all those concerned (including logistics, administration and finance).
  • Write progress reports as requested by the supervisor or management.
  • Participate in the design and improvement of monitoring and evaluation tools used to capture the effects of program activities.
  • Participate in the identification, documentation and sharing of lessons learned and success/success stories illustrating NRC’s improvements in the situation of beneficiaries and provide the necessary figures and analyses carried out for the writing of reports (internal or external) and new projects.
  • Contribute to capacity building in monitoring, evaluation and capitalization of all program staff.



QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications and competencies are required for this position:

  • Proven professional experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in humanitarian contexts.
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Kobotools.
  • In-depth knowledge of the social, cultural, economic and legal context of the Far North, particularly that of Logone and Chari.




  • Have at least a Bac + 2 degree in monitoring and evaluation, social sciences, project management, statistics or related sciences or any other equivalent degree.
  • Fluency in oral and written French and the languages of the Far North.
  • Fluency in the basics of English.
