DEMTOU as part of its partnership with the Humanitarian NGO ALIMA, is looking for a NURSE position for their joint project in the SOUTH WEST region.
DEMTOU PRESENTATION
HUMANITARIAN is a non-discriminatory, non-profit humanitarian
organization whose objective is to provide assistance to people affected by crises and to facilitate sustainable community development.
Its mission is to fight for a better humanity through seven sectors of activity:
Health, Nutrition, Early recovery, Social cohesion, Food security, WASH
(Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), and Protection. The NGO is currently present in five regions of Cameroon and has its headquarters in Yaounde, two
operational offices (Kousseri and Buea), two liaison offices (Maroua and
Douala) and two joint offices in the North West and West Cameroon.

MISSION ET ACTIVITES PRINOPALES
A- Admissions
– Welcoming and installing the patient
– Register the patient (surname, first names, age, origin)
– Participate in the drafting of the patient file
– Assist the Doctor during the examination of the patient
– Administer quality care according to medical instructions
– Record any outings and explain appointments B – Hospitalization and Intensive Care
It is about ensuring quality care and self-monitoring of the patient:
– Administer prescribed care
– Taking and monitoring vital signs (r, FR, FC, Sa02, etc.)
– Ensure compliance with prescribed medication administration schedules
– Monitor biological constants
– Note the treatments on the monitoring sheet
– Do the IEC/CCC
– Respect the hygiene measures of the rooms and the courtyard
-Carry out the visit in pediatric hospitalization, in transition phase and in phase II
-Make proposals for discharge of children from hospitalization and phase II and submit them for the approval of doctors
Inform the doctors of any deterioration in the patient’s condition during his work period
C- Supervision of written and oral communications within the team and between teams
– Ensures written transmissions of all specific events that have taken place during the period of work in the service (new admissions, transfers to
CNAS, deaths) and makes a written and oral transmission at the time of handover before the descent of the service.
D – Others
– Can be requested for a reference or in the consultation of ALIMA staff/beneficiary at the HD level of Mokolo
Stay in their room during working hours unless the supervisor decides otherwise
– Ensure proper use and maintenance of biomedical equipment
– Participate in the inventories of the internal pharmacies of the care units
– Work in harmony with the entire team working at the district hospital and the staff of the partners with whom we are in contact
– Actively participate in hospital events (meetings, committees, etc.) and trainings
– Makes itself available for any assessment of health-related action throughout the health district and according to identified needs
– In all areas of his activity, he makes proposals for improvement or adaptation
– Adherence to ALIMA-DEMTOU philosophy
EXPERIENCES ET COMPETENCES
Training:
- Experienced Nurse
Experiences:
- Experience of at least 2 years in a similar position
- Experience in a humanitarian medical response setting
- Experience in team management and coaching

Languages :
