Notice of recruitment of Investigators
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is looking for Independent Investigators as part of its activities.
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, independent, not-for-profit organization established in 1946. NRC’s mission is to protect the rights of displaced and vulnerable people in times of crisis.
The investigator contributes to the collection and entry of data for all the different areas of NRC intervention for which he/she is requested. He/she retains his/her independence and is not an employee of NRC. The interviewer will be called upon for this purpose if necessary and paid by the task and on presentation of an invoice.
1- General Responsibilities:
Collects data and information on behalf of the organization
Works in accordance with policies, tools,
Ensures the good quality of the information collected, or entry of the data collected
2- Specific Tasks
Participates in the orientation session on data collection, testing of data collection tools and debriefing;
Objectively ensures the collection of data from the people interviewed;
Clearly explains the purpose of the survey, the data collection process and the rights of respondents;
Ensures the consistency and good quality of the information collected;
Ensures the confidentiality of information collected from interviewees;
Reports all problems and difficulties encountered during the investigation;
Proposes possible improvements for data collection
3- Profile and qualities sought
Work experience in data collection activities;
Previous experience working in complex and unstable environments;
In-depth knowledge of the social, cultural, economic and legal context of the Far North;
Ability to communicate appropriately with interviewees;
Ability to use tablets for data collection Kobotools or other platforms selected for the survey;
Have at least the BEPC level;
Fluency in French both orally and in writing;
Good command of at least one language of the survey area (fulfulde, kanuri, mandara, choa arabic, mafa, mofoli, musgum, etc);
Ability to travel by his own means in the localities of the survey;
Ability to respect the barrier measures against the COVID-19 pandemic during the service
Choose a single municipality of intervention and be domiciled in this municipality (Mokolo, Koza, Mayo Moskota, Bourha, Hina, Mogodé, Souledey Roua, Mora, Kolofata, Tokombéré , Makary, Fotokol, Hilé-Alifa, Blangoua, Logone Birni, Kousseri, Maroua, Bogo)

Composition of the file:
A letter of motivation
A photocopy of the highest diploma
An updated CV specifying the local languages spoken and the organizations with which you had to work
A photocopy of a valid identity document (CNI, passport)
