Good Neighbors Cameroon (GNCMR) is an international non-governmental organization with its Head Office in Yaoundé and field Offices in Maroua and Mbalmayo. GNCMR’s work is focused on children sponsorship and community development, implementation implementing projects in the sectors of food security and livelihood, education, child protection, water, hygiene and sanitation, health, environment, gender and advocacy. Good Neighbors Cameroon works with different international partners such as the United Nations and INGOs to seek sustainable solutions to development and humanitarian challenges.

Good Neighbors Cameroon, whose head office is based in Yaoundé, is looking for one (01) Operation Program Assistant for the office in Mbalmayo.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1.    Position: Program Assistant

Under the supervision of OD Programme Manager, the OD Program Assistant, will collaborate with the employees and volunteers of the organization in ensuring the effective execution of all tasks related to work of the department and Good Neighbors in general.
A.    Project design and implementation:
1.    Assist in the research of new CDPs, prepare proposals
2.    Assist the His/her supervisor for effective and efficient management of field program, consistent with the project management cycle

3.    Attend to regular internal meetings with the members of the department to plan and review activities in the field as well as present reports of ongoing activities.
4.    Assist in coordinating compilation of monthly and quarterly reports at field office level
5.    Assist in coordinating regular project reviews in conjunction with the team, local stakeholders and project partners
6.    Assist in Drawing up plans, proposals and budgets for new projects/extensions of projects in conjunction with the relevant team/staff

7.    Assist in ensuring all relevant authorities and others are included in the planning and implementation of projects as appropriate
8.    Type documents, reports and correspondence related to different projects
9.    Good inter-team communication, engender good team dynamics, and take suitable action when problems occur in consultation with the Program Officer

11.    Carry out other duties assigned by the direct supervisor

B.    Representation and visibility and stakeholder Management
Manage the relationship between GN and different stakeholders especially at community level in Akoeman and Mbalmayo

C.    Support Monitoring & Evaluation activities
1.    Monitor activity progress according to project indicators for all projects in the Akoeman and Obeck CDPs
2.    Track project activity results in the achievement of its intended outputs on a regular basis

3.    Implement and support in the areas of data collection and internal reporting
4.    Attend all project activities that require monitoring and evaluation in the field
5.    Support research and study activities on monitoring and evaluation related issues
6.    Undertake any other project related M&E duties assigned by supervisors
Location of the position: Mbalmayo

Required Qualifications:  
1.    Candidate must have a minimum Master Degree in Project management, Public Health or any other equivalent. Experience in Managing health programs and projects will be an added advantage
2.    Must have at least 2 years of experience with the related position, working with an organization.
3.    Must have a Good Team working attitude and in networking.
4.    Must have a good Public Relation Skills.
5.    Should be able to work under-pressure, with a sense of humor
6.    Should have a good master of computer programs (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
7.    Must have good rational qualities.
8.    Must be ready and available to travel in places that Good Neighbors Cameroon is  carrying out its projects
9.    Must possess good conceptual capacity, elaborating, reading, analyzing and editing documents.

10.    Must be fluent in English or French speaking and reading (the local language will be an asset)
11.    Experience of working in international NGO is an asset.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE AT GNCMR
The recruitment procedure consists of 3 key stages:
1.    Pre-selection on the basis of the application (only shortlisted candidates are selected for the written test).
2.    A physical written technical test;
3.    An oral interview

At each stage, only selected candidates are contacted.
