Background:
The Center for Health Promotion and Research provides high-quality diagnostic services, undertakes
programs to strengthen health provision, and engages in research to increase knowledge and inform
policy change.
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team, primarily working with health-related data
to support our research initiatives and health programs.
Position Summary:
The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data
visualizations and dashboards using Power BI, specifically tailored to health-related data. This role will
support research teams in achieving project goals through high-quality data analysis and reporting,
facilitating data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
– Data Visualization: Create, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize
complex health-related data from various sources.
– Health Data Analysis: Utilize Power BI and other analytical tools to conduct in-depth analysis of
health research data, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
– Collaboration: Work closely with research teams to understand data needs and translate them
into effective visual reports.
– Training & Support: Provide training and support to team members on Power BI functionalities,
ensuring widespread adoption and effective use of the tools.
– Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards, adhering to
best practices in data visualization and reporting.
– Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and update program monitoring tools and dashboards,
providing insights into ongoing health programs and research activities.
Qualifications:
– Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Health Informatics,
or a related field.
– Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in data visualization and analysis using Power BI,
experience with health-related data is a plus.
– Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
Experience with Python and Excel (including Power Query and Power Pivot) is a plus.
– Language: Proficient in English; knowledge of French is advantageous.
– Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently and
collaboratively within a team.
