Depending on the structure in which he works as well as his level of responsibilities, its missions can really vary

MISSIONS
The main missions of the cook will be to:

  • prepare African and European menus and elaborate dishes,
  • select the products for the realization of the menus,
  • cook food,
  • take care of the dressing of the plates,
  • clean the kitchen, at the end of service,
  • ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.



QUALITY AND COMPETENCE

The qualities and skills required of the cook
To carry out the various missions and skills he must:

  • be endowed with an artistic sense,
  • know how to adapt to the type of clientele of each establishment,
  • have some authority to lead your team,
  • be well organized and be resistant to stress,
  • master all cooking techniques: recipe, preparation, cooking, etc.
