A major player in the social and solidarity economy, the French Red Cross manages a network of more than 600 establishments and services in the health, medico-social and training sectors. She is also at the head of 12 regional health and social training institutes.

Internationally, the CRF operates in 16 countries alongside National Societies and 2 regional platforms (PIRAC and PIROI), on the following themes: Health and Disaster Risk Management.

In the same way as in the professions that it develops and implements in France, the French Red Cross internationally places all its missions in a sustainable humanitarian action plan. This results in an articulation of emergency, post-emergency, crisis exit and reconstruction activities aimed at maximum efficiency. The objective is to carry out actions with lasting effects and to allow populations to regain their complete autonomy.

Working environment

The French Red Cross has been present in Cameroon since 2009 at the request of the Cameroon Red Cross, as provided for in the fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. As part of this partnership, the CRF intervenes for the benefit of the most vulnerable populations in the Far North and East regions, particularly where security and socio-political crises amplify the vulnerabilities of populations in the same way as change. climatic.

Alongside the CRC, the CRF participates in the humanitarian response in Cameroon in two main themes: health and risk and disaster management with the financial support of European donors in particular the AFD, DGINTPA, DGECHO and the Embassy. of France. Furthermore, strengthening the capacities of the CRC is at the heart of the FIU’s mandate.

The French Red Cross in Cameroon has a coordination office in Yaoundé housed within the Cameroonian Red Cross compound, and operational sub-offices in Batouri, Maroua and Kousseri.

Job

General mission of the DMI

Placed under the authority of the Head of Delegation, the Program Coordinator contributes to the operational strategy of the Delegation, ensures monitoring and management of implementation and supports the development of programs, and contribute to representation with partners and humanitarian coordination bodies.

MISSIONS AND ACTIVITIES

  • Mission 1: Actively contribute to the operational strategic positioning and development of the Delegation in support of the Head of Delegation (HOD)
  • Mission 2: Coordinate the development and writing of new quality project proposals, in coordination with the national host company and in consistency with the annual operational programming of the Delegation validated by the CRF and the SNH
  • Mission 3: Support program teams in the planning, implementation and monitoring of projects in accordance with the CRF’s international strategy and with strategic planning in the country of intervention
  • Mission 4: Contribute to the representation of the FIU and the development of partnerships in support of the Head of Delegation
  • Mission 5: Ensure good coordination and support of project and program teams for quality project management
  • Mission 6: Ensure and supervise the reporting aspects and coordinate the SERA component
  • Mission 7: Ensure monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning
  • Mission 8: Participate in Community Engagement and Accountability to Beneficiaries
  • Mission 9: Participate in good partnership relations and the development of National Societies
  • Mission 10: Ensure effective and dynamic management and animation of your team

Terms of employment

Type of status: expatriate
Type of contract: Fixed-term contract under French law/precariousness bonus paid at the end of the contract
Salary: salary range, according to the classification of the position on the CRf grid and according to the experience of the candidate
. end of year: equivalent to a 13th month pro-rata to the time of presence
Per diem: daily per diem which varies depending on the country
Leave: 5 weeks of paid leave/year and 21 days of recovery – Plane ticket covered 100% by the CRf for home/mission travel for 6-month leave
Health coverage: CFE + Mutual MSH (100% covered) – 75% covered by the CRf
MedEvac/repatriation insurance: YES
Other insurance: provident insurance ( death-disability)

  • Experience of at least 3 years in the same type of position in Coordination
  • Previous experience in Project Manager positions
