Joining the AUF therefore means having the opportunity to work in a multicultural, dynamic environment committed to the educational, economic, social and cultural development of societies.The FormPro 237 project, funded by the French Embassy in Cameroon and implemented by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), aims to strengthen the capacities of ministries, communities and local businesses to offer a comprehensive and inclusive technical and vocational training curriculum. The project mainly targets young people and adults from the coastal (Limbe, Douala), central (Yaoundé), Adamaoua (Mbé), southern (Sangmélima) and northern (Garoua) regions in order to promote their professional integration through apprenticeship and contribute to local economic development.
Under the immediate responsibility of the Deputy Regional Director – Project, the Project Coordinator plans and supervises the activities of the FormPro 237 project and ensures its financial and material management.
II – MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide general supervision and day-to-day management of the FormPro 237 project
Coordinate the project team and partner interventions, including ministries, local authorities and businesses
Develop and implement monitoring-evaluation and valorization-dissemination strategies to measure the progress and impact of the project
Supervise the management of human, material and financial resources of the project
Ensure effective communication on the project, including the drafting of regular technical and financial reports
Organize and lead regular meetings with partners and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the project
Present and inform on the project at meetings, seminars, and other relevant events
III – QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Education
Master’s degree in project management, international development, educational sciences, or a relevant field
Experience
Professional experience of at least five (5) years in a development project management position, ideally in the field of vocational training or education
Previous experience in Central Africa is an asset
Experience in team management in an international, multi-site and multicultural context, an asset
Skills
Strong project management skills, including planning, monitoring and evaluation and budget management
Knowledge of project engineering and risk management methodologies
Ability to design and implement partnership strategies
Knowledge of educational and professional development policies and issues in Africa
Knowledge of the regional environment (political, economic, social, educational, cultural)
Mastery of the main office tools
Mastery of the French language, spoken and written
Ability to communicate in English
Ability to lead and mobilize teams in a multicultural and remote context
Adaptability, rigor, autonomy and availability
Organizational and strategic planning skills
IV – CONDITIONS
Location of assignment: Yaoundé, Cameroon
Type of contract: Fixed-term contract of one (1) year and eight (8) months
Start date: As soon as possible
Candidates who do not have Cameroonian nationality or residence must hold a valid work permit.
