Information on the general framework of the position

AGROMAP is a regional company headquartered in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. It designs and implements sustainability projects through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in Ivory Coast, Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon and Ghana. These projects have a positive socio-economic impact on small producers and their communities by improving their resilience to the effects of climate change. AGROMAP is strongly committed to the development of forest carbon credit projects. To ensure the operational implementation of projects on the ground, four strategic axes have been identified, namely, the NBS axis, the Consulting axis, the Renewable Energy axis and the Technologies axis. As part of its expansion, AGROMAP is recruiting a Project Coordinator for its Cameroon office.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Strategic Advisor, the Project Coordinator will have the main mission of:

Developing a strategic and sustainable business development

Define and implement the subsidiary’s strategy in line with the group’s objectives;
Identify new market opportunities (sustainability projects, carbon credit, biodiversity);
Develop strategic partnerships with public, private and NGO stakeholders;
Represent the subsidiary to stakeholders (customers, investors, institutions);
Operational management of projects

Supervise the implementation of projects (agroforestry, reforestation, carbon credit evaluation);
Ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets and quality standards;

Lead the assessment of the environmental and social impact of projects;
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations;
Identify validated performance indicators in line with project objectives;
Team management

Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team (technical experts, consultants, operational staff);
Develop team skills and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration;

Implement performance indicators and monitor individual and collective objectives;
Reporting and communication

Report regularly to the Group CEO on the subsidiary’s performance;
Prepare detailed reports on project progress and their impact;
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
Desired profile

BAC +4/5 in management, sustainable development, agroforestry, environment, or related field.
Additional training in project management or leadership appreciated.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a management position, preferably in the sustainability, agroforestry, reforestation or carbon credit sectors.
Knowledge of international markets and issues related to biodiversity and climate change.

Position based in Yaoundé with frequent travel to project areas and internationally;
