Context
Impact Santé Afrique (ISA) is a non-governmental organization based in Cameroon
whose main objective is to contribute to the improvement of the health of populations by implementing transformative and sustainable programs (for more information, visit www.impactsante.org). As part of the “Equité Accès Palu” project funded by the Initiative for a period of 3 years (06 November 2023 – 31 October 2026) renewable. This project aims to strengthen community engagement in the fight against malaria. ISA is therefore looking for a Project Officer – Community Engagement & Communication
Main functions and responsibilities Programs: Contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the program; Ensure the quality of the operational implementation of the strategy related to the development of integrated communication campaigns that guarantee maximum impact and effectiveness and large-scale transformational change at the political and community levels. Support the development and implementation of a strong and robust CSO engagement program in the field of health and malaria. Maintain regular contact with civil society representatives and help identify and respond to their needs in line with ISA program objectives. Contribute to the planning and development of ISA CSO projects/activities. Support CSO program activities in Cameroon. Facilitate, including through logistical support, the organization of workshops, training sessions and other events. Maintain comprehensive records of training and information materials. Assist the team in implementing the CSO engagement mechanism. Support data collection to demonstrate CSO impact on malaria and health. Assist in day-to-day CSO engagement activities and documentation of key findings. Perform other duties as assigned by ISA Communications Support implementation of the communications plan; Content creation for platforms; Development of communication and advocacy tools;
Collaboration with a graphic designer;
Member and partner engagement.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in communication, advocacy, social sciences or a
related field, with at least 2 years of experience.
Or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience in the field of
communication;
Ability to work in an international/multicultural environment;
Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and French
;
Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing
) to produce professional documents that meet international standards and to participate in discussions and debates;
Ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and
various stakeholders such as partners and community members
, donors, civil society, etc.;
A positive and dynamic attitude;
Strong organizational skills;
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
