PRESENTATION OF THE ORGANIZATION
SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association that, for more than 40 years, has been helping populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to vital needs, drinking, eating, shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsanitary water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and the promotion of hygiene but also in the essential field of food security and livelihoods. Present in around twenty countries, SI teams – 2,000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.
Solidarités International (SI) is determined to prevent and combat any type of abuse – any act of sexual exploitation, abuse and/or harassment (SEAH) against members of beneficiary communities or its employees, harm to people and/or property, fraud, corruption, undeclared conflict of interest, financing of activities that violate human rights – that could be perpetrated in the context of its interventions. DESCRIPTION OF THE POST
STRATEGY AND IDENTIFICATION-
o Contribute to the development of the mission’s partnership strategy.
o Ensure effective dissemination of the partnership framework and strategy within the mission in order to promote effective understanding and support for partnerships.
o Draw up an inventory of potential partners in order to facilitate the identification and selection by the coordination and/or base teams.
o Regularly update the partner mapping at the national office level.
o Ensure that information on partnerships is capitalized
INITIATION OF PARTNERSHIPS
o Participate in the due diligence exercise with regard to future SI national partners.
o Contribute to drafting partnership-related elements in project proposals and budgets.
o Ensure coordination with partners in the different stages of project proposal development.
o Ensure contractualization with national partners (pre-agreements and partnership agreements, as well as any annexes required by the partner)
o Ensure that the signature process is respected and that the final version of the documents is then archived in the field and at headquarters.
REPORTING, CAPITALIZATION AND COMMUNICATION
o Monitoring and dissemination of the reporting schedule to partners, supporting partners in identifying the right formats and understanding donor requirements, and sharing alerts as needed.
o Support base teams in verifying partner reporting documents before transferring them to the Program, Grants and Partnerships Coordinator and Support Coordinators for review and comments.
o Ensure the capitalization and archiving of all documents relating to partners.
o Contribute to drafting partnership-related elements in reports.
o Ensure regular and fluid communication with partners on progress in the implementation of activities and for the finalization of documents according to internal and/or external feedback.
o Meet regularly with partners to collect their feedback on the partnership and propose ways of improvement.
EVALUATION AND LEARNING
o Support each department in the development and implementation of capacity building plans according to the needs of the partners.
o Monitor partners’ compliance with IS and donor requirements and inform the coordination of any suspicion of aid diversion, corruption or mismanagement.
o When partnerships end and when relevant, support the bases and coordination teams by organizing lessons learned sessions both internally and with partners.
PROFILE SOUGHT
o Education: Master’s degree in international development, social sciences or other relevant fields, any relevant training profile will be considered.
o Experience: 2 years of experience in a similar position with successful experience in the field.
o Languages: Mastery of French, knowledge of English and Arabic appreciated.
o Computer skills: Mastery of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
o Required qualities: Ability to collaborate, development and animation of partnerships, strength of proposals, communication skills, rigor and integrity, writing skills.
