The United Nations Children’s Fund is looking for several (05) Interns as part of its projects in Cameroon .

Location: Douala, Yaoundé, Bertoua

Duration: 06 Months

The internship program in the Cameroon office has the primary objective of creating a pipeline of available human resources with experience of UNICEF and imbued with its culture and working conditions. In this, national internships will be prioritized with a focus on finding female interns to continuously contribute to improving the gender balance of the office.

 

 

 

Internships at UNICEF Aim To 

  •  To provide a framework whereby eligible undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students from diverse academic backgrounds are assigned to the UNICEF Cameroon office to enhance their educational experience through practical assignments;
  • Expose the intern to the work of UNICEF;
  •  Provide the Cameroon office with the assistance of qualified students, specialized in various professional fields.

How can you make a difference for UNICEF in Cameroon?

Under the direct supervision of the Head of the Partnership, Advocacy and Communication (PAC) Section, the interns will perform the following tasks

  •  Support for carrying out daily media monitoring (print and online press articles related to UNICEF’s areas of intervention).
  • Edition of the UNICEF Office Newsletter.
  • Support for multimedia productions.
  • Support in the development of partnership with the private sector.
  • Provide support for external communication activities.

 

 

To qualify as a champion for each child, you must:

  •  Be enrolled in a university undergraduate, graduate program or have obtained a degree within the last two years in journalism, communication or any related discipline;
  • Be at least 18 years old;
  •  Not having close relatives (father, mother, brother, sister) working in a UNICEF office
  • Master French and have a good knowledge of English;
  •  Have excellent academic performance, demonstrated by recent university or institutional documents;
  • Never have completed an internship at the UNICEF office in Cameroon;
  •  Meet UNICEF child safeguarding standards.
  • Storyline production based on audiovisual projects;
  • Justify good academic results;
  • He must be at least 18 years old;
  •  Demonstrated interest in communications in a humanitarian/development context;
  •  Have knowledge in the field of audiovisual production;
  •  Motivated to contribute to peace and development and to serve others;
  •  Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills;
  • Willingness to contribute and work in a team;
  • Flexible and open to learning and new experiences;
  •  Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures, environments and living conditions;
  • Excellent command of French or English
