CALL FOR APPLICATIONS ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP
Position to be filled: 02 (two) Accounting interns

Alternatives-Cameroun is the Association for Freedom, Tolerance, Expression and Respect for Indigent Persons or Victims of Social Exclusion. The Association is non-profit, governed by law N° 90/053, it has been legally recognized since October 27, 2006 by the Prefecture of Wouri (Declaration N° 204/RDDA/C19/BAPP). Since 2008, we have opened a center called “Centre Médical Access”, in order to advocate accessibility to information on HIV, prevention and treatment of this infection.
In order to support students in their practical training in accounting, we are recruiting again:
– 02 (two) Accounting Interns

A/Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Principal Accountant. The Accountant intern will have to perform the following tasks:
– Analyze, enter and record the accounting documents of the various operations on a daily basis in the software defined by the association
– Check the accounting documents, the pre-accounting, the numbering of the accounting documents (sheets advances and invoices)
– Participate in the archiving of accounting documents
– Participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements (bank reconciliation statements, operating accounts, Financial Reports)
– Participate in the establishment of Financial Statements Annual (Balance, Balance Sheets, Income Statement, Table of Fixed Assets, etc.)

 

B/ Profile and Requirements:

– Training / Diplomas: Baccalaureate + 2 in Accounting, Finance
– Honest, available, organized; Be dynamic and motivated
– Be non-judgmental and confidential
– Strong personality, with good communication and persuasion skills;
– Spirit of synthesis and high sense of management and leadership;
Professional skills and knowledge:
– Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
– Good writing skills;
– Be in accordance with the statutes and internal regulations of Alternatives-Cameroun
– Speak and write fluently either French and / or English
– Have a good ability to understand and adapt
– Have a good command of IT tools and particularly data processing software (Sage Saari counted 100, Excel, Access, etc.);
– Knowledge in community projects (NGOs/OBCs/OBFs).
– Able to intervene in any other sector of activity where his competence will be necessary.

Duration of the contract: 03 months renewable once
Salary Intention: unpaid
Location of the position: Administrative Office in Douala
Composition of the file:
– Letter of motivation addressed to the Executive Director of ALTERNATIVES Cameroon with the subject: Application for the position of trainee accountant
– A Detailed CV
– A copy of the National Identity Card
– A copy of the highest diploma
– A copy of the certificates of service previously held in a similar position.
