The African Intellectual Property Organization is looking for applications for the recruitment of 02 drivers.

Job Title :Driver

Category : SG2 – ^1st Echelon

Level (Grade) : Support agent II

Date of entry into service : Two weeks after notification of recruitment

Duration of commitment : Permanent employment after a trial period of three (3) months

Administrative Unit : Office of the Director General

Duty station : Yaoundé (Republic of Cameroon)

Closing date for applications : November 22, 2022

Conditions of eligibility

–        Be a national of one of the OAPI member countries and reside in Cameroon.

–        be aged at least 18 and at most 55 on the closing date for the submission of applications;

–        enjoy their civic rights and be of good character.

Main duties

Under the responsibility of their hierarchical superiors, the incumbents are mainly responsible for:

➢ Lead staff;

➢ Carry out service errands;

➢ Send parcels and miscellaneous mail;

➢ Perform vehicle maintenance;

➢ Ensure the administrative follow-up of the vehicle;

➢ Participate in inventories and reception of equipment   ➢ Provide logistical support to the various entities of the Organization.

Qualifications required 

➢ Hold a Certificate of Elementary Primary Studies (CEPE);

➢ Hold a category B or C driving licence; ➢ Master the defensive driving of category B vehicles; ➢ Justify at least three years of professional experience.

Composition of the Application file

All candidates for this position must compile a file containing the following documents:

–        a cover letter;

–        an extract from the birth certificate or a certified true copy of the birth certificate or the supplementary judgment in lieu thereof;

–        a detailed curriculum vitae;

–        a certified true copy of the driver’s license, the Elementary Primary School Certificate, other diplomas, titles, certificates of qualification;

–        an extract from the criminal record dating from less than three months;

–        a regularly established certificate of public or private jobs previously held and indicating their duration;

–        a certificate of medical examination, dating from less than three months, attesting that the candidate fulfills the conditions of physical and mental aptitude.

Remuneration

The position is classified in the SG2 category of the salary scale in force at OAPI. Recruitment is done at the ^1st level. The person concerned will benefit from the advantages and allowances under the conditions provided for by the texts in force.

Elements of the commitment file

The successful candidate must, prior to taking up duty:

➢ Present the originals of their diplomas, titles and civil status documents;

➢ provide a sworn statement of free employment if he is not a civil servant or an act of secondment if he is a civil servant.
