*Recruitment notice: 02 Political Sociologists TO WORK WITH THE DOUALA CITY COUNCIL*
1- Main missions
     Analyze political and social phenomena to understand power dynamics, analyze the relationships between institutions and social actors, as well as the impacts of public policies on societies. • enlighten political decision-makers and social actors on contemporary political and social issues; educate leaders on the influence of social structures on politics and vice versa Analyze electoral behavior, social movements and interactions between different social groups;
  Observe the functioning of political institutions, their impact on society and their relationships with social actors. ,
     Examine how political ideologies influence the attitudes and behaviors of individuals and groups;
  Collect data on perceptions and opinions;
     Analyze the impact of public policies on different social groups, highlighting inequalities and injustices.
2- Required diploma
     The applicant must hold a BAC + 5 in Sociology or political science, urban sociology or social research is an asset.
3- Experience
     A minimum professional experience of two (02) research environment, public administration or CTD or within an NGO.
11-Requirements and skills:
     be able to design and implement sociological studies using appropriate techniques, such as surveys, interviews, observations, in order
to collect relevant and reliable data;

1 – Composition of the file
The file includes.
– A handwritten job application written in French or English, addressed to the Mayor of the City of Douala, stamped at the current rate (01 tax stamp and 01 municipal stamp),
– A Curriculum Vitae (CV),
– A cover letter,
– A photocopy of the birth certificate dated less than three (03) months;
– A photocopy of the reference diploma dated less than three (03) months.
Copies of supporting documents for professional experience,
A photocopy of the National Identity Card or valid passport.
2 – Deadline and place of submission
Complete files will be received every working day from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from May 16 to 30, 2025 at the Urban Community Mail Service.
The Mayor of the City will communicate the final results by press and posting.
