Title: Social Worker
Reports to: Supervisor
Position Summary: du Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor. She will be responsible for setting up prevention and response activities in cases of violation of children’s rights, and monitoring the functioning of community child protection mechanisms for reporting violence. management of cases of violation of children’s rights and violence against identified children, identification and management of separated children and unaccompanied children (ESNA), community awareness and training of community leaders and adolescent clubs for the promotion of children’s rights and particularly on birth registration
Work station:
Prevention and response to cases of violation of children’s rights
a- Prevention of cases of violation of children’s rights
Set up community child protection networks (RECOPE)
Build the capacities of members of these RECOPEs on their work and regularly monitor their activities
Participate in the establishment of teenagers’ clubs
Participate in awareness-raising activities in favor of the promotion of children’s rights
Participate in the broadcasts of radio programs and broadcasts of films on the promotion of children’s rights and the fight against child marriage, Actively participate with other partners in the implementation of the case referral mechanism; Implement. train and animate the structures of expression of the children and protection of the children girls and boys;
Organize/supervise activities related to the early learning of girls and boys in an inclusive manner without any discrimination
Support communities and town halls in the development and implementation of action plans for the protection of children, the prevention of violence against children and young girls in collaboration with sector actors, Implement implementation and monitoring of the operation of a mechanism for reporting violations of children’s rights
Disseminate and monitor the implementation of standard operational procedures for managing violence against children
b- Response to cases of violations of children’s rights
Provide psychological first aid to victims of cases of violence against children, vulnerable children
Identify and document the case according to the relevant procedures
If necessary, refer and follow up cases of sexual abuse and other violence against children with the actors concerned in close collaboration with the project supervisor
Organize home visits and educational talks with children and their parents, individual meetings with victims and children with specific needs and provide specific care for ENA and ES
Strengthen the capacities and support child protection committees; ensure with these committees the follow-up of Individual Cases;
Provide specific support to child victims of cases of violence
Support the coordination of child protection at municipal level in collaboration with the supervisor (case management panel, municipal coordination)
Provide technical support to the CESOs and the social service of the town hall to optimize the care of vulnerable children
Follow up on cases of violence against children and ensure their care through the case management process.
Manage the database
Conduct assessments and follow-up of families and children benefiting from the cash transfer, education grant Or vocational training Cross-
cutting tasks
Participate in the implementation of the cash transfer program (identification of beneficiaries. establishment of targeting committees and complaints management committees, post-distribution monitoring)
Support the Community Engagement Officer in preparing and carrying out community mobilization activities
Support the field team in carrying out various activities as needed
Identification of facilitators, capacity building, supervision and evaluation:
Organizes community meetings with a view to identify community animators,
participate in the training of community animators and municipal volunteers;
Ensures that all animators and communal volunteers under His supervision have a good understanding of their job description and have the necessary skills to do so
Accompanies the staff under his supervision in the development and monitoring of their individual action plan,
Organizes capacity building sessions if necessary
Supervises the work of community animators in the identification and referral of children as well as the accompaniment and follow-up of adolescents targeted by the project;
Guides community leaders and municipal volunteers in the appropriation of tools, procedures and the implementation of the principles and instructions defined by the project;
Ensure that child protection standards are understood and respected by community leaders and volunteers
Organizes formative supervision of the animators and municipal volunteers Ensure that each municipal volunteer and animator under his supervision has the necessary tools for his work (Reference documents, data collection sheets, image box, reporting sheets, etc. )
Plan, in collaboration with the supervisor, the training of Animators and
Community Volunteers under his supervision
Organize quarterly meetings for the continuous training of animators
Carry out periodic evaluations of Animators
Ensure that animators and communal volunteers respect the PSEA principle ,
Organize training sessions in positive parenting
Participate in the training of Animators on the Living Peace program and on participatory theater
Participate in capacity building sessions organized by the Project Coordination or by its organization
Planning, monitoring and evaluation, reporting and referencing
Develop its weekly schedule according to priorities and the work schedules communicated by the Project Coordination and submit them to the Supervisor for validation;
Collect and compile activity reports from Animators and Communal Volunteers under his/her supervision
Ensure that referral systems (health, education, psychosocial support, etc.) are functional in response to children’s needs
Maintain the database of unaccompanied children (ENA) and separated children (ES) in its area of intervention;
Collect and transmit monthly and quarterly data for indicator monitoring;
Collect information from the technical services of the project intervention areas Provide a complete report (narrative, illustrated, statistical and analytical) of each activity carried out within the framework of the project in its area of competence
Provide up-to-date data to complete the table dashboard of project performance indicators
Participate in surveys and assessments carried out as part of project implementation
Take all the steps in collaboration with his supervisor to facilitate the mobilization of beneficiaries during programmatic visits
Participate in programmatic visits carried out in his area of competence and apply the recommendations resulting from these visits
Coordination
Follow the orientations given by the Technical Coordinators for the implementation implementation of activities
Collaborate with local stakeholders (municipal executive, state sectors, law enforcement, humanitarian actors and community leaders) in the implementation of activities Participate in coordination meetings at the local level
Participate in meetings project team coordination
Inform the Project Supervisor without delay of any action by stakeholders external to the project team that may influence the execution of the work plan or the results of the project in his area of competence
Other tasks
Perform any other task assigned to him by his hierarchy and can contribute to the achievement of the results of this project.
PROFILE
Hold a higher diploma (at least Bac + 3) in social sciences or any other equivalent diploma;
Have at least 02 years of experience in social work and the care of vulnerable people
Have a good command of Word and Excel tools
Have knowledge of writing reports
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French, Excellent ability to write activity reports.
