NOTICE OF VACANCY  

ASECNA is looking for the Representation of ASECNA in Senegal:

TWO ( 02) TELECOMMUNICATIONS SUPERVISORS

I – POSITION DESCRIPTION:  

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the interface between the correspondents and the center, the correct routing of messages aeronautical and meteorological and ensure the proper functioning of telecommunications operating systems and equipment.

As such, he will be mainly responsible for:

• ensuring the management of frequencies, telecommunications networks and the transmission of RSFTA/SMT messages necessary for the safety of Air Navigation;
• ensure the implementation of new circuits in collaboration with maintenance; • contribute to the proper functioning of telecommunications services (Aeronautical Fixed Service, Aeronautical Mobile Service, Aeronautical Radionavigation Service, Surveillance Service, any other service using telecommunications, etc.);
• configure and administer telecommunications systems;
• develop and update the telecommunications operations manual;
• ensure the safe and rapid delivery of NA and MET messages in accordance with ICAO, WMO and ITU recommendations;
• ensure the inventory, recording and updating of the aeronautical frequency spectrum. II – PROFILE REQUIREMENTS: 1. TRAINING: The targeted candidates must hold a BAC+2/3 level diploma in Telecommunications or equivalent. 2. EXPERIENCE: Professional experience in the field would be an asset. 3. PERSONAL QUALITIES:  Sense of organization and responsibility  Sense of teamwork    Spirit of analysis and synthesis  Knowing how to work under pressure and being responsive;  Know how to work carefully and methodically;  Demonstrate professional conduct and ethics;  Ability to communicate and manage professional relationships. 4. TECHNICAL SKILLS: The candidate must:  Know how to use IT tools and specific dedicated software;

 

 Know the field of civil aviation and know how to apply the techniques relating to its area of ​​intervention;
 Know how to apply the standards and regulatory provisions relating to its area of ​​intervention;
 Have a good knowledge of ASECNA and its strategic objectives;
 Have a good level of French and English, both written and spoken;  Have the ability to draft administrative and/or technical texts.

5. NATIONALITY:

Candidates must have the nationality of one of the ASECNA member states.

III – CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT AND REMUNERATION:  
Complies with the provisions of the Single Statute and the ASECNA Staff Remuneration Code.
