CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF THREE (03) AREA SUPERVISORY CONSULTANT FOR PROJECT PLUS AT ACMS

The Cameroonian Association for Social Marketing (ACMS), member of the PSI network is a non-governmental organization under Cameroonian law whose main mission is to improve in a sustainable and measurable way the social situation of the Cameroonian population and to promote health and family prosperity. Thus, ACMS works in cooperation with the government and its partners in the public and private sectors to offer high quality health programs, reaching all populations in need. For more than twenty-five years, ACMS has provided the people of Cameroon with comprehensive, evidence-based public health interventions, including programs in reproductive health, malaria, and HIV prevention among others.

The Recruiting Plus Project is a Unitaid-funded project that aims to reduce morbidity and mortality from malaria and anemia in children under two in countries that have adopted IPTi+.
In fact, IPTi/CCP-SP consists of administering a complete therapeutic regimen of SP delivered at the same time as the Extended Vaccination Program (EPI) at intervals corresponding to the child’s usual vaccination schedule.
In Cameroon, the “Plus” project model is based on the national strategy of 5 contacts (10 weeks, 14 weeks, 6 months, 9 months and 15 months) by adding 3 new contacts from the administration of vitamin A to 12 months, 18 months and 24 months.
Your contribution:
Support the implementation of the Project as designed in the area of competence assigned to you;
Assist the District Coordinator in the management and archiving of implementing partner contracts and key project documents;
Participate on delegation of the district coordinator in meetings organized at the health district level;
Develop and maintain good working relationships with the District Manager, implementing partners and local authorities in his/her area of expertise;

Proceed with the collection and feedback of Project data for consideration at the central level via the district coordinator;
Ensure the training supervision of the actors of implementation of its area of competence;
Participate, if necessary, in the training of stakeholders (health providers, community) in the implementation of IPTi+;
Contribute to the implementation of monitoring, supervision and quality assurance of IPTi+ in its area of competence, by linking it to existing DHIS2 systems;
Contribute to the implementation of community engagement and social and behavior change activities by partners (OSCD/ASC) and service providers in their area of competence;
Contribute to the conduct of evaluations that will be conducted as part of the Project to generate evidence to inform policy at the national and global level and accelerate the adoption and scale-up of IPTi+;
Develop a monthly activity report according to the defined framework and send it to the District Coordinator;
Compile and transmit to the District Coordinator the activity reports of health facilities and OSCD in his area of competence;
Contribute to the mobilization of partners during special major events identified at the level of its area of competence;
Any other task assigned during this mission.

The Basics:
Hold a study diploma of at least BACC+2 in social sciences, law, project management, public health or any other diploma related to development;
Professional experience Have at least 2 years of professional experience in project management, or implementation of interventions on a regional scale.
In substitution of the required diploma: Have more than five (05) years of relevant professional experience in project management, or implementation of interventions on a regional scale.
Have an A license to drive a motorcycle;
Have strong problem-solving skills;
Have a good ability to plan and foresee potential and emerging obstacles;
Demonstrate adaptability, patience, ingenuity, resilience and flexibility;
Have results-based management skills;
Be available to carry out regular field missions.
What would interest us?
Familiarity with social marketing and/or NGOs;
Fluent in French and/or English and have a sufficient command of the other language;
Good command of computers and software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
Passion for public health;

Contribute to the implementation, monitoring, supervision and quality assurance of the TPIn+ in its area of competence, by linking it to existing DHIS2 systems;
Contribute to the implementation of community engagement and social and behavioral change activities by partners (DCSOs/CSAs) and providers in their area of expertise
Contribute to the conduct of evaluations that will be conducted under the Project to generate evidence to inform policy at the national and global level and accelerate the adoption and scaling up of TPIn+;
Prepare a monthly activity report according to the defined framework and transmit it to the District Coordinator;
Compile and transmit to the District Coordinator the activity reports of the health facilities and OSCDs in his/her area of competence;
Contribute to the mobilization of partners during large-scale special events identified in the area of responsibility;
Any other task assigned during this mission.

Have a License for driving a motorbike;
