 Presentation of the organization
Solidarités International is a French humanitarian organization present in Cameroon since July 2014. Since 2014, the mission has been carrying out several emergency and post-emergency programs in the East and Far North regions. After a first base opened in Garoua Boulai in 2014 to respond to the Central African crisis and the massive arrival of CAR refugees in the region. then in Makary at the beginning of 2017 to respond to the crisis in the Lake Chad Basin, SI opened a base in Mokolo in October 2017, then Maroua in order to meet the basic needs of vulnerable populations in the border areas of the Mayo Tsanaga department. Thus in Cameroon, Solidarités International operates in the areas of Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH) and Food Security and Livelihoods (SAME).

 

 

 

Responsibilities and description

The multi-sector community mobilizer is responsible for implementing awareness-raising and community mobilization activities with the communities targeted by the Solidarités international (SI) program. He (she) participates in the collection of data as well as the identification of beneficiaries within these communities. He (she) guarantees the coaching of relays and the quality of participation and acceptance of the project by the communities. He (she) participates in the close monitoring of activities and the assessment of new needs. He (she) accompanies the beneficiaries in the implementation of their activities. He (she) provides regular reporting on the progress of project activities in the areas of competence:
Evaluation / Diagnosis:

 

 

 

Help define criteria for selecting beneficiaries
Identify target groups within communities (women, vulnerable people, etc.)
Collect usable data from the community
Participate in the revitalization/establishment of CGPEs
Participate in setting up flood risk prevention committees Take part in Base line, initial CAP, End line and final CAP surveys Report any new needs to the EHA/Shelter RA.
Communication / Representation
Mobilize the target communities and make them aware of the activities of the program Listen to the communities Mediate
between the communities in the event of a problem
Analyze the actions to be taken to avoid your security incident within the community
Support the implementation of Solidarités International activities with the local authorities, village chief or

Implementation and operational monitoring
Ensure the monitoring of activities within the community through regular visits
Carry out training or awareness sessions (if requested by the program manager)
Monitor the activities developed by other actors in the area of ​​intervention of Solidarités International and report them to the program manager and/ or his assistant
Take part in evaluation surveys with a view to monitoring the progress of the program and the efficiency of activities
Ensure the follow-up of labour-based activities within the community through regular visits Evaluate the daily labour-based work and ensure the score and payment status of      each
beneficiary Train the CGPEs and monitor them throughout the project
ensure payment of labour-intensive daily workers, the number of beneficiaries and the volume of cash given
Participate in awareness sessions to better coach community relays Ensure that the results of the activities for which he (she) is responsible are achieved
Reporting
Share with the program manager and/or his assistant any information relating to security, activities, logistical or administrative problems encountered In the field Participate in the preparation of activity reports Participate in program monitoring meetings (weekly,

Communicate any information deemed important during staff meetings
 Required profile
SKILLS
Bac +2 level diplomas: in social sciences, environmental sciences or any equivalent field in
2 years of experience in community mobilization
Good writing skills and ability to synthesis
Excellent level of French, and a good level of understanding and language spoken locally is an asset (Arabic, Kotoko…)
Good command of the Office pack (Word, Excel, Outlook, power point etc.). REQUIRED QUALITIES
Diplomat and good communicator, autonomy, independence, taking initiative;
Organizational skills (important) at field level;
Open-mindedness, rigor, dynamism, responsiveness
