The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is a global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV and AIDS, working in 19 countries and at more than 5,000 sites around the world to prevent the transmission of HIV to children and help those who are already infected. Today, thanks to the very successful work of the Foundation and its partners, pediatric AIDS has been virtually eliminated in the United States. With a growing global staff of more than 3,100 people – nine out of 10 who work in the field – the Foundation’s global mission is to implement prevention, care and treatment; advancing innovative research.

 

 

 

Purpose of work:
The Consultant Data Entry Agent will be assigned to a site with the possibility of covering a set of sites in the region. He/She will work under the direction and supervision of the Head of Strategic Information and Evaluation. He/She will be mainly responsible for data abstraction from primary sources using smartphones or paper questionnaires. He/She will also ensure the maintenance of the security and confidentiality of the data extracted in accordance with the data management plan. He/she will collaborate with all frontline staff including Site Manager, Nurses, APS, Data Clerk, Associate M&E officers, etc.,

Key Responsibilities:
• In collaboration with M&E frontline staff and program staff at site level, collect data for each eligible patient.
• Ensure daily data entry into a digital questionnaire using an electronic data collection system in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Ensure the organization and storage of documents after data entry and report generation.
• Ensure the verification of data from source documents and make the necessary corrections and updates as needed.
• Ensure secure storage of data collection tools
• Maintain good relations with collaborators and other staff members involved in the data collection process;
• Ensure the quality and prompt processing of all activities;
• Ensure diplomatic and proactive identification and resolution of issues;
• Perform any other task related to data collection assigned by the supervisor.

 




 

Qualifications required:
• Level: Bachelor’s degree or higher in public health or nursing;
• Experience with COVID data entry and data management;
• Have a good practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office Pack, be familiar with the use of digital data collection tools: ODK, ODKX, etc. ;
• Language: bilingualism (French and English). However, be able to speak one language fluently and be proficient in the other language.
• Other skills required: good interpersonal relations, availability, flexibility, punctuality, interest in public health, rigor and motivation.

Evaluation Criteria:

Technical Qualification Technical qualification will be evaluated during an interview with a selection committee: Note that only the preselected candidate will be contacted for the assessment of theoretical and practical skills. 60%
Consultation fees Indicate in the subject of your motivation letter, the monthly amount of the consultation fees. 25%
Past Performance Provide at least 03 professional references and file experience will be assessed. 15%
