– Organize and ensure focus groups, awareness raising and training and ensure the follow-up of community structures;
– Take an active part in project coordination, reporting and communication tasks;
– Be flexible and ensure any other relevant task with the implementation of the project at the request of his supervisor.

Responsibilities
– Proceed to the targeting of project beneficiaries in collaboration with beneficiary representatives;
– Establish a complete mapping of service providers in its area of intervention;
– Set up and monitor income-generating activities;
– Proactively identify the challenges related to psycho-social support in its coverage area by proposing solutions consistent with the objectives and activities of the project;
– Ensure the direct management of victims of human rights violations, in particular minors and women after having identified them in the field or following their referral by other humanitarian actors to Safe Spaces/Child Friendly Spaces ( EAE) in accordance with the Guiding Principles and Minimum Standards for GBV and Child Protection;
– Respect the guiding principles (respect, confidentiality, non-discrimination, security) throughout the case management process and treat victims with respect and empathy while respecting their confidentiality;
– Make sure to refer GBV and Child Protection cases to other protection actors for appropriate care;
– Be in contact with health centers to ensure proper medical care for victims of rights violations, including the availability and optimal management of post-rape kits;
– Ensure good coordination with other actors active in sectors related to protection, in particular with listening centres, legal clinics and “Space Refuge”;
– Organize focus groups in beneficiary communities to identify protection risks, their causes and consequences and to identify victims of GBV, vulnerable minors and PBS;
– Prepare and ensure regular sensitization of communities on their rights, on the importance of civil status, access to appropriate services and on the prevention of risks from explosive devices

– Promote, through these sensitizations carried out in collaboration with the other available services, community mobilization and the dissemination of key protection messages within the communities;
– Ensure the creation and training of protection committees and civil society actors (association) on the reduction of GBV at the community level;
– Carry out training sessions for local authorities, MINPROFF, MINAS and health sector staff on the themes of the protection of vulnerable populations, in particular the protection of minors, women and young women who are victims of GBV (training relating to mechanisms for referral, counter-referral and effective management of GBV and PE cases and aimed at strengthening their technical capacities on these aspects);
– Monitor community structures in the coverage area;
– Actively participate in weekly meetings planned by the project coordination;
– Actively participate in other meetings planned by the protection officer (protection or legal), the assistant project manager and the project manager;
– Collaborate closely and effectively with the officers (protection, legal, MEAL), the assistant project manager and the project officer-area focal point;
– Update work tools and write activity reports according to the formats and deadlines imposed

Actively participate in tasks related to communication needs; taking photos, videos, collection of testimonials (success stories) in compliance with the Intersos code of ethics and the guidelines of its hierarchy. Education
job requirements
– University degree in social sciences or related field, e.g. ex. Social work, Psychology or equivalent is an asset.
Experience – 1 year of relevant professional experience
Language –
– Fluency in French (written and spoken) and knowledge of English is an asset.
Proficiency in the local language (written and spoken): Choa Arabic, Fulfulde, Mandara, Mousgoum, Massa, Kotoko, Kanuri, etc.
