CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE (125) VOLUNTEER/PROMINENT MENTORS

SUPPORTING JUNIOR ENTREPRENEURS FINANCED IN THE FRAMEWORK

OF THE SPECIAL-YOUNG THREE-YEAR PLAN (PTS-YOUNG).-

 

1. CONTEXT AND JUSTIFICATION

As part of the implementation and strengthening of the support system for young beneficiaries of the Three-Year Special Youth Plan (PTS-Jeunes), and with the aim of ensuring the performance and sustainability of the companies created by them , the Minister of Youth and Civic Education is launching a Call for Applications for the recruitment of one hundred and twenty-five) volunteer mentors with a view to supporting junior entrepreneurs Funded within the framework of the PTS-Jeunes.

 

 

 

1. PURPOSE OF THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

 

The purpose of this Call for Application is to recruit one hundred and twenty-five (125) Volunteer Mentors, in the fifty-eight (58) Departments of Cameroon! Distributed as follows ; 58 in the field of Agriculture, 58 in the field of Industry/Crafts and 9 in the field of Digital Economy : with a view to supporting junior entrepreneurs for a period of 12 months and including the period of the mission will be specified in the contract.

 

lHe. DESCRIPTION OF THE VOLUNTEER MENTOR’S MISSIONS

 

The main mission of the Volunteer Mentor is to guide and advise junior entrepreneurs and startuppers in the development of their businesses.

As such, he is responsible for:

– to guide junior entrepreneurs and “startups” in their establishment in the value chain in pioneer villages of second generation agropastoral production and “+ economic clusters;

– to support young entrepreneurs from the start-up phase to the sustainability phase of their businesses, through the growth phase and possibly expansion;

-to advise young entrepreneurs on the adoption of new and innovative approaches to managing their projects:

– to share its experience with the aim of helping young entrepreneurs develop their know-how and skills, to make them a real entrepreneur.

 

 

 

1. PROFILES WANTED IN THE VOLUNTEER MENTOR

 

The Volunteer Mentor is any experienced person, with technical expertise, know-how or skills in one of the four (03) areas of PTS-Jeunes which are:

Agriculture, Industry/Crafts and the Digital Economy, and eager to pass on this knowledge to junior entrepreneurs.

-The candidate applying for this Call for Applications must in terms of profile.

– demonstrate proven qualification in one of the areas of PTS-Jeunes chosen for mentoring;

– have a good command of official languages ​​(French and/or English):

– be able to provide appropriate solutions to the expectations and difficulties encountered by junior entrepreneurs:

– master at least one of the local languages ​​of the Department chosen for mentoring:

– have a team spirit;

– be able to work under pressure.

 

1. CONDITIONS TO BE FULFILLED TO BE A VOLUNTARY MENTOR

 

To apply, candidates must:

• be of Cameroonian nationality;

o   enjoy their civil rights:

• be of good moral character;
• be available to complete the mentoring work;

o   ensure a regular presence in the mentoring location.

 

 

 

1.  PROCEDURES OF SUPPORT OF THE VOLUNTEER MENTOR

 

To carry out their missions, Volunteer Mentors will benefit from a fixed monthly transport and communication allowance during the mentoring period.

Furthermore, at the end of their services, they will receive recognition parchments duly signed by the Minister of Youth and Civic Education.

 

VILE COMPOSITION OF THE APPLICATION FILE

 

The application file consists of the following elements:

 

– a duly completed form, to be downloaded from the National Youth Observatory website at www.onjcameroun.cm or collected from the MINJEC Mail Service, located at the Administrative Center-Yaoundé| or in the Regional and Departmental Delegations of Youth and Education

Civic;

• a duly signed cover letter from the candidate;
• a copy of the National Identity Card (CNI);
• a detailed curriculum vitae (CV);
• a judiciary record sample ;
• a copy of the highest diploma:
• any formal proof justifying the qualifications and expertise mentioned
• in the candidate’s CV;
• a certificate of residence duly signed by the territorially competent Administrative or Municipal Authority.

 

VIII SUBMITTING APPLICATION FILES

 

Application files must be submitted:

– electronically to the following addresses: f ogajeune@gmail.com, cabminjec@gmail.com no later than Friday March 15, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.;

– in physical version, in closed envelopes at the Mail Service of the Ministry of Youth and Civic Education or in the Regional and Departmental Delegations of Youth and Civic Education, at the latest] on Thursday March 15, 2024 at 15 hours and 30 minutes.

Said application files must bear the mention:

 

“FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE (125) VOLUNTEER MENTORS, WITH A VIEW TO SUPPORTING JUNIOR ENTREPRENEURS FINANCED UNDER THE THREE-YEAR SPECIAL-YOUNG PLAN (PTS-YOUTH)”.

 

NB: – Civil servants and State agents covered by the Labor Code in service at the Ministry of Youth and Civic Education are not concerned by this Call for Application;

– Female candidates are strongly encouraged :

-Volunteer Mentors who have opted for the field of Digital Economy will be deployed exclusively in the central and Littoral regions
