CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE RECRUITMENT UNDER A
FIXED-TERM CONTRACT OF 30 SURVEYORS, 5 GIS ASSISTANTS AND 2
MAPPERS

    1. Context and justification
The roadmap of the MINHDU-INS agreement provides for the collection of data on roads and socio-collective facilities in the cities of Yaoundé, Edéa, Maroua, Garoua and Ngaoundéré, the exploitation of the results of the mission exploratory, the preparation of collection applications and the exploitation of data and production of maps.
As part of the implementation of the said agreement, the Director General of the National Institute of Statistics is launching a call for applications for the recruitment under fixed-term contract of 30 survey agents, 5 GIS assistants and 2 cartographers in accordance with the table below. – after:

    11. JOB DESCRIPTION
II.I- SURVEYING OFFICERS
a). Purpose of the contract: This staff will be responsible for collecting data on roads and socio-collective equipment in the cities of Yaoundé, Edéa, Maroua, Garoua and Ngaoundéré using a digital questionnaire on a tablet.
b). Profile of the candidate:
Be of Cameroonian nationality, aged 40 at most on January 1, 2023;
Be residing in one of the cities mentioned above;
Hold a Baccalaureate or any other equivalent diploma; Have a good knowledge of computers;

Be free from any commitment; Have a sense of teamwork;
Have a sense of a job well done;
Experience in similar activities would be an asset.
vs). Working language: French and/or English
d) Duration of the contract: 1 month
11.2-GIS ASSISTANTS
a) Purpose of the contract: exploitation of the results of the exploratory mission, preparation of the collection applications, exploitation of the data resulting from the collection and production maps.
b) Profile of the candidate:
Be of Cameroonian nationality, aged 40 at most on January 1, 2023 •
Be resident in one of the cities mentioned above
Have a diploma in Cartography and Geographical hfo o System (GIS) or equivalent;
Have at least 2 years’ experience in the management of cartographic data collection and processing works;
Have a good command of cart a ues tools, in particular Qgis, ArcGIS and Mapit GIS software;
Be able to develop Qt-Creator forms;
Have good ability to use spatial analysis tools;
Be available ;
Have a sense of working in eq
Have a sense of working well
Experience in similar ctl • és would be an asset.

Profile of the candidate
Be of Cameroonian nationality, aged 40 at most on January 1, 2023;
• Be resident in the city of Yaoundé;
• Have a degree in cartography and Geographic Information System (GIS);
Have at least 2 years’ experience in carrying out

cartographic data collection and processing work;
Have a good command of cartographic tools, in particular Qgis and ArcGIS software;
Be able to develop forms with Qt-Creator;
Have good skills in using spatial analysis tools; Be available ;
Have a sense of teamwork;
Have a sense of a job well done;
Experience in similar activities would be an asset
c) Working Language: French and/or English
d) Duration of contract: 5 months

    III. TO APPLY:
The application files (stamped job application, certified copies of the required diplomas + medical certificate + information sheet to be obtained from the INS + any other document that can prove your experience in statistical surveys) must be submitted against receipt no later than 5 working days, from January 10, 2023, to the INS mail and liaison department or to the INS Regional Agencies for Adamaoua, the Centre, the Far North, the Littoral and the North .
