About CENC
The National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon (CENC) is the seat of the Catholic Church in Cameroon, where the promotion of human dignity is at the center of the concerns of the Sustainable Development Goals. The CENC works to ensure the dignity of the human being, the common good, subsidiarity and solidarity of all humans. The development work of the CENC in Cameroon is accomplished through access to quality education, health, promotion of the commitment of the faithful for the reduction of inequalities and the empowerment of vulnerable groups.
Summary of the COSMO project
Funded by the Presidential Emergency Plan to Fight AIDS (PEPFAR) through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon (CENC) is implementing the project CoSMO in 68 health districts in Cameroon. The project aims to improve the overall well-being of children and families infected and affected by HIV/AIDS through the provision of high quality services related to protection, education, health and socio-economic status.
In this regard, COSMO seeks to conduct a baseline survey to establish the predominant initial situation with regard to the scope, purpose and objectives of the project before commencing implementation.

The survey will take place in the following Health Regions and Districts. Each Region will need a specific number of investigators residing in the Health District.

TERMS OF REFERENCE
 Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the training of interviewing agents
Conduct interviews with project participants at the household level
Record the interviews
Collect the geographic coordinates of each household during the visit
Enter the collected data into the electronic version of the tool in Kobo Toolbox
Share collected data
2. Training, experience and skills
A baccalaureate, bachelor’s or final year level in the field of sociology, anthropology, public health, nursing, epidemiology or any related field will be an added advantage.
Have experience collecting data in a research institution.
 

 

Had experience in qualitative interviews and/or focused group discussions.
Have a good command of programming and community activities.
Candidates must be fluent in French (speaking, listening and

NB: Candidates should note the following points:
. They must reside in the city where the data collection will take place.
2. They must have access to a computer or electronic device to enter data into the electronic tool during/after the interview, as this will not be provided by the project.
3. They should be available to start immediately and for the duration of the collection.

Collect applications from the partner’s office Use the TOR provided by the central team to select interviewing agents based on the requested documents. No interviews will be conducted due to tight deadlines to complete this exercise.
Supervise the data collection process: MEAL Officer to review the database daily and share inconsistencies with the Area Manager (ZM) • ZM
will liaise with survey officers for clarification on any inconsistencies identified
• Contact participants to the project at random to ensure that the interviewers actually visited their household on the scheduled date.
