National of Cameroon (CENC) implements the
Consolidation of Systems and care services for
orphans and vulnerable children in Cameroon (COSMO) in
Cameroon since 2023.
The COSMO Project aims to provide holistic and sustainable care
to orphans and other vulnerable children (OVC) by strengthening
the capacities of the Government of the Republic of
Cameroon (GRC), civil society organizations, communities
and households to provide
quality care and support to children and their families infected and affected
by HIV.
The COSMO project is currently working in
partnership/collaboration with local implementing partners
, the Cameroonian Government and other stakeholders
to reach OVC and their families in at least
68 health districts across the 10 regions of Cameroon. The
program includes prevention and case-finding activities
for OVC, community support
to enable linkage to care for
infected children and adolescents as well as to improve retention of
children and adolescents living with HIV who have been enlisted
for care and treatment.
The COSMO/Diocese of BAFIA project is therefore seeking to
recruit qualified personnel to serve as DATA ENTRY.
Direct supervisor: Meal Coordinator/CoSMO Project Diocese of
Bafia
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the M&E Coordinator,
• The Data Entry Clerk receives the paper forms by
examining the quality of the data (Validity, Completeness, Precision,
Reliability, Timeliness) to detect gaps ; resolve the
discrepancies using standard procedures or returning
incomplete paper forms for completeness;
• Work closely with the M&E Coordinator,
Case Management Coordinator (CMC) and Liaison Officer (LA)
to correct any inconsistencies/errors identified in the
data;
• The Data Entry Clerk will work closely with the
Case Workers to ensure that all required data is
entered into the electronic database on time while
respecting its integrity;
• Ensure that all data entered into the electronic database
is cleaned regularly to eliminate any
errors before use in analysis and reporting
. The Data Entry Clerk purges paper and electronic forms
to eliminate data duplication;
• The Data Entry Clerk in close collaboration with M&E
Coordinator to secure information by performing
database backups on a regular basis; • Actively monitor the performance of the data entry
platform and immediately report malfunctions to the M&E Coordinator. Document and immediately report all incidents relating to data management that occur to the M&E Coordinator for appropriate decision-making ; • Ensure that data always remains confidential, including those recorded on the electronic platform; • Ensure that all the number of paper forms transmitted at the start of the entry process corresponds to the number of paper forms returned to CaseWorkers for archiving; • Assist the MEAL Coordinator in the production of various reports, data analysis, data review meeting, data triangulation, etc. • Perform any other task that may be assigned. 3 | P age CoSMO Consolidating Systems and Services for the Management of Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Cameroon Qualifications and Experience: Proficiency in IT tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, data management software); The candidate must hold a BTS/HND or an equivalent higher diploma; • General knowledge of using applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, Kobo, Colmis; • The Data Clerk must have one to two years of experience, preferably with an NGO;
• Understand and apply instructions received orally or
in writing;
• Have good time management;
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing;
• High level of integrity.
• Ability and willingness to work in a team;
• Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously and
meet deadlines;
• Ability to work independently and with a low
level of supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
;
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as
safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions
and procedure manuals;
• Ability to write routine reports and emails.
Skills:
• Mastery of IT tools (Word, Excel, Power Point,
data management software);
• Good analytical skills;
• Fluency in English/French would be an asset
Collaboration:
Internal: Liaison agent/CMC, Accountant, Field agents,
Youth mentors, Adolescent champions, OVC,
project beneficiaries, Stakeholders.
Creation and submission of the application file

ENTRY CLERK” containing a cover letter addressed to the
Diocesan Health Coordinator, a detailed CV updated
with professional references, therefore one from a
religious authority, the diploma, certificates and/or work certificates
justifying the experience.

diocese of Bafia health coordination office or by email to
