Action Against Hunger is an international, apolitical, non-denominational and non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) . For our operations in Cameroon, we are looking for:



 

A DRIVER

Home base: Batouri
Number of positions Duration of contract:: Until 04/30/202401
Desired start date: 11/01/2023
Supervised by: Logistics Manager

I. PURPOSES OF THE POSITION

Drive people and goods and ensure the maintenance of the vehicle under his responsibility

II. POSITION MISSIONS

Mission 1: Transport people and goods in good safety conditions: Activities:  Transport ACF employees in compliance with national traffic rules, according to the schedules and directives of the Logistician;  In the event of an accident, immediately take steps at the nearest police station and inform the logistics department as quickly as possible Use the vehicle according to the manufacturer’s advice and ACF rules Have with you all personal documents as well as those of the vehicle and ensure their validity. Objective 2: Ensure vehicle maintenance: Activities:  Resolve minor technical problems;
 

 

 Inform the logistics department of major repairs to be carried out;
 Carry out daily checks before start-up;
 Clean the vehicle;
 Ensure GSM communications if no passengers;
 Report fuel consumption at the start and end of the day and any information relating to vehicle maintenance in the logbook;  Check security trunks.

Objective 3: Prepare departures in the field: Activities:  Inspect and prepare the vehicle the day before departure in order to be ready on time;  Prepare additional equipment to take according to needs (fuel, stickers, flags, tools, medical kit).
 

III. DIPLOMA/LEVEL OF STUDY AND EXPERIENCE

Diploma/Level of study: College level – Driving license D (common transport)

 

IV. REQUIRED SKILLS Knowledge: – Mechanical knowledge- Negotiation skills Know-how: – Rigor- Punctuality Commitment to gender equality:  Commit to respecting and applying ACF’s gender policy Integrate the gender approach into activities Contribute to a working environment that takes into account the specificities of each person and avoid any discrimination RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE
 
The Action Contre la Faim recruitment procedure includes 3 key stages: 1. A pre-selection based on the application submitted (only candidates whose skills and experience correspond to the profile described in the offer are selected for the written test)
2 . A written technical test
3. An oral interview
