ABOUT THE CENC
The National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon (CENC) is the seat of the Catholic Church in Cameroon, where the promotion of human dignity is at the center of the concerns of the Sustainable Development Goals. The CENC works to ensure the dignity of the human being, the common good, the Eubfidiarity and the solidarity of all humans. The development work of the CENC in Cameroon is accomplished through access to quality education, health, promotion of the commitment of the faithful for the reduction of inequalities and the empowerment of vulnerable groups.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Summary of the position
Under the direct supervision of the National Coordinator of CONACOM, the incumbent of the position will have the following main missions:
Carry out budgetary monitoring of CONACOM operations.
Compile support documents (liquidation/receipt file) to support the processing of financial transactions.
Record accounting transactions in accordance with OHADA rules
Produce monthly monitoring statements (budget monitoring, cash flow monitoring)
Produce a monthly balance of CONACOM operations
Prepare cash flow reconciliation statements Examine partners’ financial reports to verify accuracy, completeness and compliance with CENC policy requirements Ensure all expenditures are eligible under CENC
requirements

 

 

 

Carry out administrative and accounting management operations (cash flow monitoring, invoicing, archiving of accounting documents, entry of reports Produce accounting summary documents Carry out
operations with banks and administration,
Mail management (arrivals/departures) and suppliers (orders, delivery invoices and regularizations):
Preparation of payroll elements with the HR department
Manage the
cash register Scan & classify all sales and purchasing documents: Carry out any other task entrusted by the hierarchy
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Training – experience – assets
Bac G2/CG
At least two years of experience
Have a good knowledge of the OHADA system good knowledge of IT tools: Word – Excel etc.
Mastery of SAGE-SAARI accounting software required
Assets
Good management skills.
Rigor and sense of responsibility;
Excellent subject, analytical and thinking skills; be proactive, resourceful, solution and results oriented; Be dynamic, have the capacity to innovate; demonstrate moral integrity.
Required/Desired Language: Must be bilingual with a working knowledge of English and French.

Carrying out transactions with banks and the administration;
Mail management (incoming and outgoing mail) and supplier management (orders, delivery invoices and regularizations): Preparing payroll with the HR department
Managing the cash desk
Scanning and filing all sales and purchasing documents;
Carry out any other tasks assigned by line management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
• Bac G2/ CG
• At least two years’ experience in a similar position
• Good knowledge of the 01-IADA system
• Very good computer skills: Word – Excel etc.
