SOCIETE GENERALE CENTRAL AND EAST AFRICA is looking for an ALM MANAGER for its Regional Financial Department.

 




 

Main Missions

Under the supervision of the ALM Manager, the main missions of the ALM Manager are:

  • Ensure the production of ALM reporting for subsidiaries
  • Analyze structural risk indicators (liquidity, interest rates, foreign exchange) and ensure compliance with regulatory and Group limits
  • Develop an advisory and expertise function in Asset-Liability Management
  • Ensure business monitoring of ALM projects and support for change.

Main activities

  • Ensure the timely production and publication of Group reports relating to the ALM function
  • Ensure the provision of data and information to be used as support for the Asset-Liability Management Committees of the subsidiaries
  • Support the subsidiaries in the development of rate curves and ensure the calculation of internal transfer rates
  • Analyze and monitor structural risk indicators (liquidity, interest rates, foreign exchange) and support subsidiaries in implementing their action plans aimed at complying with Group thresholds and limits
  • Anticipate changes in ALM positions through simulations and impact studies, with the support of DFIN/ALM
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of ALM tools, in particular the Rapsody tool
  • Contribute to the modeling of flows of specific balance sheet items
  • Raising awareness and supporting subsidiaries on ALM issues
  • Sharing cross-functional issues with the Financial Steering team
  • Contribute to the deployment of ALM projects in accordance with the framework files and the decisions of the Steering Committees
  • Communicate with subsidiaries and other external contacts on business issues
  • Sharing cross-functional issues with the other teams of the Regional Finance Hub

Candidate Profile

  • Bac+5 in Finance, Banking, Management, Economics, Statistics, or other related disciplines
  • A professional experience of at least 03 years in banking professions
  • Professional experience in Asset-Liability Management in an international banking group
