SUMMARY OF POSITIONS
Under the general authority of the Director of the UNESCO Multisectoral Regional Office for Central Africa based in Yaoundé and the direct supervision of the Regional Communication and Information Advisor, the contractor undertakes to assist the main climber in the installation of the Waza and Bol community radio equipment.
To do this, he must:
Assist the climber with manual tasks at the foot of the pylon (raise the broadcast equipment on the pylon);
Assist the climber for the installation of the antenna system on the pylon;
Assist the climber for the liaison system between the production site and the distribution site;
Assist the climber to install the feeder safely on the pylon.
Prepare with the climber the tools needed to install the broadcast equipment;
Prepare with the climber, the connectors and straps necessary for the interconnection of production, transmission and broadcasting equipment;
Ensure with the climber, the storage and safety of the equipment and tools used;
Assist the climber in the installation of the broadcast part;
Make sure that the equipment installed is working properly.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Secondary level and good experience in setting up community radios.
Professional experience and skills
Have good experience in the installation and maintenance of radio equipment;
Have proven experience in installing radio broadcast equipment on pylons over 40m high.
Languages
Excellent knowledge (written and spoken) of French or English and good knowledge of the other language;
Knowledge of a local language will be an asset.
