Presentation of the association
The French Red Cross (CRf) and the Cameroon Red Cross (CRC) are humanitarian associations, auxiliary to the public authorities, which provide aid and assistance to vulnerable people .
Since 2010, the French Red Cross (CRf) has been present in Cameroon and intervenes in the areas of health, nutrition and food security and livelihoods (SAME) in the East and South regions. ‘Far North.

Description of the position
I. Objective / Summary of the position.
Under the direct responsibility of the Deputy Logistics Coordinator, the Capital Logistics Assistant is responsible for general services, management of the motorized fleet, Stock Management, Supply Management, maintenance of equipment and IT management in the capital.

 




 

II. Position location
This position is open throughout the national territory. However, with equal skills, people residing in Yaoundé will have priority in hiring. The candidate selected at the end of the recruitment process must provide a certificate of residence attesting to his usual place of residence.
III. Responsibilities
A. Management of general services in the capital:
– Makes regular visits to assess and anticipate needs for maintenance, repairs and fitting out premises (DMI Guests and office) in Yaoundé;
– Supervise or carry out all repair, maintenance or development work in the capital;
– Supervises the maintenance and repairs of domestic equipment in the capital;
– Ensures that the equipment and furniture of the various buildings in Yaoundé are correctly used and maintained;
– Develops a maintenance schedule for the equipment used in Yaoundé;
– Issues to his superior the equipment needs for the proper functioning of the
capital;

 

 

 

– Is responsible for key management (Guests, offices and vehicles);
– Proposes solutions in the event of an anomaly noted in the Management of General Services;
B. Motorized fleet and transport management
– Is responsible, in conjunction with his superior, that the motorized fleet management procedures of chapter 11 of the MOPI in the capital are respected;
– Ensures that the drivers check their vehicle when taking up shift;
– Ensures that the drivers clean the vehicles;
– Ensures that the drivers have a benevolent and appropriate conduct;
– Is responsible for fuel management (Vehicles + Generators);
– Is responsible for organizing travel from Yaoundé efficiently;
– Is responsible that the services and maintenance of Yaoundé vehicles are done on time;
– Is responsible that the administrative papers in Yaoundé of motorized vehicles and drivers are up to date and archived;
– Participates in expeditions for sub-delegations in accordance with internal MOPI procedures;
– Is responsible for the monthly planning of drivers (Development, implementation, validation and sharing with DMI);
– Proposes solutions in the event of an anomaly noted in the management of the motorized fleet and transport;

C. Capital Supply Management and Archiving
– Applies all of the CRF’s purchasing procedures in accordance with Chapter 10

of the Internal Procedures Manual;
– Is responsible for the Capital’s purchases, subject to validation by his superior;
– Respects the circuit of signature of the files of purchase in Capital and makes the follow-up;
– Updates the follow-up of the Capital’s purchases;
– Ensures that consumables (stationery, household products, and others) are in sufficient quantities and properly stored according to the internal procedures of the CRf;
– Archives the Capital’s purchase files (digital and physical);

D. Maintenance of equipment and IT
– Is responsible for the preventive and curative maintenance of the computer equipment of the capital;
– Is responsible that users in capital update anti-virus and
software;
– Is responsible for the monthly backups of all computers in the capital
being made;
– Proposes solutions in the event of an anomaly observed in the maintenance of equipment and IT;

E. Inventory management
– Manages the storage of coordination equipment in conjunction with the Logistics team and in accordance with the procedures of chapter 11 of the MOPI;
– Ensures the updating of the follow-up and the inventory sheets of the coordination;
– Ensures that consumables do not break;
– Ensures that the storage rules are applied on the mission;
– Manages the fuel stock at the DMI houses;

F. Human resources management
– Participates in the recruitment of his team and the monitoring of professional careers in conjunction with his superior;
– Supervise, support, train and control the team under his supervision;
– Organizes monthly meetings with his team (drivers and guards)
– Develops the PAI of the members of his team;
– Conducts periodic performance interviews for his team
– Arbitrates any conflicts within his team and alerts his superior in the event of disciplinary measures;
– Ensures the administrative management of his team in connection with the administration and his superior (leave, attendance sheet);
– Develops the monthly schedule for drivers and guards;

G. Reporting and internal and external representation of Capital Logistics
– Produces the logistics report for the Yaoundé base and sends it to his superior before the 5th of each month;
– Archives the administrative documents for which he is responsible;
– Participates in the preparation of audits;
– Participates in internal and external meetings of the CRf in connection with the field of logistics at the request of his superior;
– Ensures effective communication with other services in the capital and sub-delegations;
Qualification and experience
Diploma /Level of study:
– Holder of a BAC + 2 in logistics minimum; Mandatory knowledge and skills:
– Knowledge of the Red Cross/Red Crescent movement is an asset;
– Management/Team management
– Compliance with Administrative and Logistics procedures
– Planning and Reporting
– French
– Negotiation skills
– Pack office
– Organizational sense
Knowledge and skills appreciated:
– English
– Mastery of software and Hardware troubleshooting
– Knowledge of GPV and generators
