Job Description: Back Office Manager – Mobile Money Distribution
Mission:
The back office manager will play an essential role in managing operations (creation, updating,
switching, etc.) and administrative processes related to MTN mobile money services within the company. He
will be responsible for coordinating behind-the-scenes activities to ensure efficiency and compliance of
operations.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Management:
Ensure the accurate archiving of documents (KYCs).
Monitor and update customer databases.
2. Transaction Processing:
Execute and supervise the processing of transactions.
Resolve transaction issues and ensure appropriate follow-up.
3. Management of activation teams
Recruit, train and support Team Leaders.
Supervise the recruitment and training of Brand Ambassadors.
Plan the activities.
Technical Support:
Coordinate with the sales team to resolve POS issues.
Provide support to salespeople and POS for questions related to the use of services.
Reporting and Compliance Management:
Generate regular reports on operations performance and compliance.
Ensure that all activities comply with current regulations.
Internal Collaboration:
Participate in process improvement.
Required Skills:
1. Administrative Skills:
Experience in managing administrative and back office operations (preferably with a distributor
).
Ability to work accurately and manage large amounts of data.
2. Technical Skills: Understanding of mobile money systems and associated technical processes.
Mastery of computer tools, database software, word processing and spreadsheets
.
3. Communication Skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
4. Compliance Oriented:
Sensitivity to regulatory compliance and ability to ensure compliance with established standards.
5. Additional Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree, a university degree in computer science or related field would be an
advantage.
Previous experience in back office or operations management (preferably with a distributor
).
Knowledge of regulations and best practices in the management of MTN
mobile money operations would be a plus.
