ACMS is looking for candidates to fill the position of Cashier as part of the PASSR II project (Access to Reproductive Health Services Program) in Cameroon, funded by Kfw and planned for a period of three years. The project aims to increase the use of modern family planning methods, particularly long-acting methods.
What are we recruiting?
The Cashier has overall responsibility for ensuring the maintenance of petty cash for all operations carried out in the Eastern region in Bertoua with the policies and procedures of donors; and those of ACMS.
Essential functions:
- Execute the region’s small cash expenditures;
- Make cash withdrawals from the bank to exclusively fund petty cash;
- Maintain a cash register and bank fog;
- Ensure the permanent implementation of ACMS accounting procedures on the petty cash management aspect;
- Ensure the application of audit recommendations on the management of ACMS small cash;
- Manage regional office supplies including tracking stock of sales documents;
- Manage fuel vouchers and Tom Card from the regional office;
- Ensure the real-time supply of supplies and fuel vouchers;
- Collect product sales revenue and deposit them into dedicated bank accounts within the prescribed time limits;
- Prepare invoices, receipts and payment slips for timely submission of documents to accounting;
- Periodically support accountants in their work;
- Classify and register documents received;
- Prepare monthly the elements to fill in the sales and revenue tables to be made available to the accounting coordinator, for verification and transmission to headquarters;
- Write the various monthly, quarterly and annual reports of its activities.
Qualifications and skills required:
- G2 Baccalaureate . If another baccalaureate, also have a BTS or BAC+2 in management, accounting, finance or a diploma deemed equivalent;
- Minimum four (04) years of professional experience in the field of accounting, management or finance, including one (1) year as a Cashier;
- In lieu of the required diploma : Have more than five (05) years of relevant professional experience as a Cashier;
- Have strong problem-solving skills;
- Have a good ability to plan and foresee potential and emerging obstacles;
- Have the ability to establish strong public relations and have ease in communicating in a team;
- Have a high level of autonomy at work, but with a deep team spirit;
- Have an ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision within a multicultural team;
- Demonstrate a capacity for adaptation, patience, ingenuity, resilience and flexibility;
- Demonstrate integrity, honesty and good moral character (moral support will be requested);
- Have skills in results-based management;
- Be available to carry out regular field missions.

- Keeping a cash and bank record;
- Ensure the ongoing implementation of ACMS accounting procedures for petty cash management;
- Ensure the implementation of ACMS’s small cash management audit recommendations;
- Manage regional office supplies including tracking inventory of sales materials;
- Manage fuel vouchers and Tom Card from the regional office;
- Ensure real-time procurement of supplies and fuel vouchers;
- Collect the proceeds from the sale of the products and deposit them in the dedicated bank accounts within the prescribed time;
- Prepare invoices, receipts and remittance slips for timely submission to accounting;
- Periodically support the accountants in their work;
- File and record documents received;
- Prepare, on a monthly basis, the elements for filling in the sales and income tables to be made available to the accounting coordinator, for verification and transmission to head office;
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports on activities;
- Maintain the confidentiality of ACMS information.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Baccalaureate G2 . If you have another baccalaureate, you must also have a BTS or BAC+2 in management, accounting, finance or a diploma deemed equivalent;
- Minimum four (4) years of professional experience in the field of accounting, management or finance, including one (1) year as a Cashier;
- In lieu of the required diploma : Have more than five (05) years of relevant work experience as a Cashier;
- Strong problem solving skills;
- Have a good ability to plan and anticipate potential and emerging obstacles;
- Ability to build strong public relations and team communication skills;
- Have a high level of autonomy at work, but with a strong team spirit;
- Ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision in a multicultural team;
- Demonstrate adaptability, patience, resourcefulness, resilience and flexibility;
- Demonstrate integrity, honesty and good character (a moral guarantee will be requested);
- Results-based management skills;
- Be available for regular field assignments.
