JOB OFFER: Central Accountant – Care and Health Program (CHP), Yaoundé
RECRUITMENT NOTICE
Context
Cameroon is a beneficiary of grant GC 7 from the Global Fund: “Accelerating the prevention of new infections among key populations to reduce the rate of morbidity and mortality linked to HIV by 2026”.
Care and Health Program (CHP) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) created in 1996 and based in Cameroon. For over 27 years, CHP has been involved in the field of prevention-related activities including STI/HIV/AIDS research, PMTCT, family planning activities, research, and community awareness raising. on pandemics, endemics, the fight against vandalism, drug consumption; this not only in Cameroon but also in Central and West Africa.

Contract: Fixed-term contract: 03 months trial – Extension after evaluation.
Under the authority of the Administrative and Financial Director, the Central Accountant will have to perform the following tasks:
Functions and responsibilities:
The Central Accountant is responsible for assisting the DAF in all financial and accounting operations, in particular:
-Ensuring the coordination of financial information and accountants between the cell accountants and the DAF;
-Keep the central accounts of the Organization;
-Centralize the payroll file;
-Centralize the overall file of salary deductions for all project staff;
-Ensure compliance with the Organization’s accounting and financial procedures;
-Support the DAF in developing budgets;
-Participate in internal and external audit missions;
-Ensure the daily management of relationships with partners (bank, suppliers of goods & services, Tax Administration, CNPS etc.);
-Produce the summary of the monthly financial statements of the regional units;
-Produce the summary of monthly GAS reports from regional units;
-Ensure the coordination of financial and accounting information between the headquarters of the Organization and the regional project units under the supervision of the DAF.
Job profile:
-Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Management / Accounting / Finance or an equivalent diploma;
-Have at least three years of professional experience in the financial management of projects financed by international donors;
-Experience in the financial management rules and procedures of the Global Fund is an asset;
-Have a good knowledge of IT tools: MS-Word, Excel, Internet etc…
-Proficiency in TOM2PRO, SAGE 100 PAIE, SAGE ERPX3 software would be an asset;
-Mastery of French and English languages.
Skills and Abilities: Interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team. The candidate must be able to plan, implement, monitor and advocate for programs and beneficiaries. Must have strong time management skills and be able to prioritize and execute multiple activities simultaneously.
