We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is a player in the port sector in Cameroon:
A COMMUNICATION MANAGER

Attached to: General Manager / Human Resources Director
Job classification: Executive
Type of contract: CDI, accompanied by ‘a trial period.

 




MAIN MISSION OF THE POSITION:

Develop, manage, implement and evaluate the company’s communication strategy as well as its brand strategy. As such, he defines communication programs to promote the company’s image vis-à-vis stakeholders.

MAIN ACTIVITIES :

• In charge of defining and deploying communication programs and activities;
• Participate in the definition of the communication strategy and support the General Management on press relations;
• Ensure the proper dissemination of the company’s messages, programs and achievements to its various internal and external targets within the framework of the company’s activities;
• Monitor the company and its external environment and conduct corrective communication actions in this respect. As such, it has the following missions:
– Events: structure the promotion of the company’s brand image through events and participate in the organization of trade fairs, internal events, etc.
– Press relations: improve the company’s reputation with the public through the media, put into perspective the tools for monitoring, monitoring and forecasting of the media environment, and produce content (Information notes, Press releases release, press kit, etc.).
-Web and social networks: Create content for social networks, contribute and moderate social networks; ensure the updating of the company’s websites; monitor statistical, monitoring and measurement tools.
– Studio/Créa: Produce written, audio/visual and digital communication media
– Commitments: Promote the employer brand in conjunction with the Human Resources Department, corporate social responsibility and corporate sponsorship actions.

 

 

 




 

PROFILE:

• Hold a higher education diploma minimum BAC + 4 in Information and Communication Sciences and Techniques or any other recognized equivalent diploma from a renowned Specialized Higher School;
• Successful cumulative professional experience of at least 05 years in Corporate Communication or in a similar position in a Media or an Organization with an established reputation;
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of port activities and port terminal operations;
• Perfect knowledge of the different communication levers allowing to establish a complete communication strategy;
• Perfect mastery of administrative correspondence;
• Sustained knowledge of effective communication best practices;
• Language skills: Perfect command of French and English;
• Computer skills: Very good command of MS Office with a Mastery of Excel spreadsheet (formulas, TCD, Graphics), DTP-Video software
