Horizons Femmes (HF) is a non-profit Cameroonian association which benefits from a legal personality according to the texts in force. It implements development projects for disadvantaged and vulnerable groups. Its main mission is to help reduce gender inequalities through the promotion of community health, rights and democratic governance as well as the socio-economic advancement of women and girls.
In order to carry out its mission within the framework of its various projects with its partners, Horizons Femmes is looking for 01 Community Mobilization Officer (CMC), motivated and committed. Candidates must demonstrate skills and extensive experience in community mobilization. The position is open to internal and external applications at Horizons Femmes.

DURATION OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months including the trial period
LOCATION: Yaoundé JOB
MISSIONS:
• Ensure implementation HIV/AIDS prevention activities
MAIN TASKS:
Under the responsibility of the Drop-in-Center Manager, the CMC must:
• Coordinate all capacity building activities in terms of community mobilization for beneficiary access to services;
• Plan and lead the weekly meetings of the prevention unit;
• Develop a weekly action plan of activities and evaluate it at the end of each week;
• Set up an individualized performance monitoring plan for Peer Leaders and updated on a weekly basis;
• Ensure the proper organization of screening activities in the field;
• Contribute to the quality control of activities;
• Contribute to the production of weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual reports;
• Ensure the follow-up of all the activities of his department;
• Ensure the update of the general mapping of hotspots over a monthly period;
• Conduct weekly supervision visits according to standards and produce reports;
• Report to his supervisor any case of fraud observed both at the DIC and during field activities;
• Make sure that the data transmitted to the monitoring and evaluation officer are reliable data;
• Make sure that the collection tools sent to the monitoring and evaluation officer are completed according to the standards.
JOB PROFILE
Education/training – Baccalaureate or equivalent
– Have a good knowledge of HIV
– Speak and write French
– Knowledge of English and/or local languages of the area of intervention would be an asset

Requirements/Experiences required – At least 2 years of experience in community mobilization;
– Experience in working with local or international NGOs;
– Good knowledge of the health districts of intervention;
– Knowledge of HIV/STI and other related topics and key and vulnerable populations;
– Mastery of computers ;
– Mastery of community mobilization techniques.
Personal qualities required – Ability to work in a team;
– Ability to work under pressure;
– Good oral and written communication;
– Slow to anger and resistance to stress;
– Creativity and ability to anticipate;
– Sense of organization ;
– Avoid discriminatory attitudes; – Respect and confidentiality; – Flexibility.
Performance criteria – Achievement of assigned objectives;
– Production and transmission of action plans and reports on time;
– Compliance with defined procedures and standards;
– Compliance with implementation schedules;
– Attendance at work and at meetings/work sessions; – Follow-up of recommendations.
WORKING HOURS
Monday to Friday
– 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a mid-day break
– NB: Rearrangements of working days and hours are regular
