The Cameroonian Association of Women Doctors, abbreviated as ACAFEM, is an organization under the law of December 19, 1990, which works to improve the reproductive and sexual health of the Cameroonian populations through promotion, health education, advocacy and services.
In order to ensure the implementation of activities within the framework of the CHILL project with its partners, ACAFEM is launching an internal and external call for applications for the recruitment of a competent and dynamic Community Mobilization Officer.
Duration of the Contract: 12 months trial period including
Salary intention: according to the salary grid
Location of the position: Yaoundé
Main tasks:
He/she is under the direct responsibility of the DIC Manager, the CMC must:
-Analyze, disaggregate the indicators by peer leaders;
-Plans, implements and supervises awareness and prevention activities (MDV, CDV, educational talk, permanence);
-Develops and monitors the Community mobilization plan with peer Leaders;
-Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual compilation of statistical data by PL
-Elaborates and regularly updates the mapping of the project intervention area (hot spots,);
-Is in charge of the control and distribution of prevention equipment and other Kits;
– Control the quality of data from the field;
-Prepare the ToRs of monthly activities, have them approved by the DIC Manager, validated by the DE
-Organize weekly debriefing meetings for monitoring and validation of field data;
-Develops the monthly, quarterly and annual report for monitoring awareness and prevention activities;
-Collaborates closely with the Top Management of ACAFEM;
-Plan and ensure the smooth running of mobile DIC activities;
-Plan and conduct convivial days within the DIC;
-Follow up on prevention indicators;
-Complete and update the weekly database;
– Intervene in any activity where his/her competence is necessary –
Diligently carry out all other tasks entrusted to him/her by the hierarchy of the program and/or the association
Job profile
He/she must: –
Have a higher diploma (BAC and more) ;
-One (1 year) experience in a similar position in an HIV/AIDS-related project in sensitization, communication and project supervision;
– Have a good knowledge of the health districts where ACAFEM operates
– Strong capacity for analysis, mastery and management of data and database;
-Relevant experience in working with NGOs;
-Concrete knowledge about HIV/ in general and key populations in particular;
– A strong ability to work in a team and organizationally;
-Strong communication skills;
– Work in strict respect of confidentiality;
-Be able to work under pressure;
– Be available throughout the duration of the project;
-Be tolerant and have a spirit of non-judgment;

– Have a perfect mastery of the computer tool (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power point…);
– Achievement of assigned objectives;
-Transmission of data to the M&E within the deadlines for processing;
-Production and transmission of action plans and reports on time;
-Respect of the implementation schedule;
– Respect for defined procedures and standards
– Be dynamic, honest and innovative;
-Sense of initiative ;
-Respect for the hierarchy;
-The incumbent of this position must be able to work independently and outside normal working hours to meet the association’s quality and deadline requirements
Hours and Working Days
o Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 1 hour break at midday;
o Days: Monday to Friday and Saturdays depending on the results to be achieved
