Reports to: Logistic Officer – Maroua

Objective: how this position support Plan International’s strategy and mission?

Responsible for the conduct of Plan International personnel and assets in and outside the Far North region as appropriate, for the implementation of activities contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the Country Strategy (CS) .




 

ROLE DIMENSIONS:

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Logistic Assistant of Maroua, the recruited driver will have to:

Ensure the transport of the personnel and the goods of Plan International
Run the races for the office and keep the technical sheet of the vehicle up to date while ensuring the validity of documents
Driving the organization’s staff on official missions in the field as part of the implementation of activities
Ensuring the daily maintenance of the vehicles in their charge and arranging for repairs in the event of breakdowns
Ensure the supervision of vehicle repairs as well as the management of the fuel of the vehicle for which he is responsible
Ensure technical monitoring of oil change times, as well as control of oil, water and vehicle components that
must be functional at all times

 

 

Monitoring and updating of technical inspection and renewal of vehicle insurance
Fill in the vehicle’s logbooks and ensure that all the formalities provided for by the regulations are completed in the event of an accident.
Keeping the vehicle’s dashboard up to date.
Perform any other task that may be entrusted to him within the framework of his duties

 

Job requirements
Have at least a BEPC or a CAP;
Hold a valid category D driving licence;
Have at least five (5) years of driving experience;
Have a perfect knowledge of the roads of the Far North region;
Experience working with humanitarian NGOs would be an advantage;
Have basic skills in automotive mechanics (they will be tested)
Have a good knowledge of the highway code;
Demonstrate politeness and professionalism.
