Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation is a world leader in the fight against HIV and AIDS in children. EGPAF operates in 16 countries and more than 5,000 sites worldwide to prevent vertical transmission of HIV to children and support those who are already infected. Today, thanks to the success of the work of the Foundation and its partners, pediatric AIDS has been virtually eliminated in the United States. With a global workforce of more than 3,100 people, nine out of 10 of whom work in the field – the Foundation’s global mission is to implement prevention, care and treatment, and to advance innovative research.
Purpose of the position
The assessment data collector will be assigned to a district with flexibility to travel from site to site. He/she will work under the direction and supervision of the Public Health Evaluation Manager and the Strategic Information and Evaluation Manager. He/she will be mainly responsible for extracting data from primary sources using tablets or paper-based questionnaires. He/she will also ensure that the security and confidentiality of the extracted data is maintained in accordance with the principles of ethics of human subjects activities. He/she will collaborate with all frontline staff, including lead site, Data Collection Officer, associated Monitoring & Evaluation staff, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
• In collaboration with M&E and program staff at site level, collect/retrieve data for each eligible patient.
• Ensure daily data entry into a digital questionnaire using an electronic data collection system in accordance with SOPs.
• Ensure the organization and storage of documents after data entry and report generation.
• Ensure the verification of data from source documents and make the necessary corrections and updates, if necessary.
• Ensure secure storage of data collection tools
• Maintain a good relationship with collaborators and other staff members involved in the data collection process;
• Ensure the quality and timely completion of all activities;
• Ensure the identification and resolution of problems in a diplomatic and proactive manner;
• Perform any other task related to data collection assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications required
• Level: Bachelor’s degree or higher in public health or nursing
• Have a good practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office software package, be familiar with the use of digital data collection tools;
• Language: bilingualism (French and English). However, be able to speak one language fluently and be proficient in the other language.
• Other skills required: have good interpersonal skills, be available, flexible, be on time, be interested in public health, be rigorous and motivated.

The Evaluation Data Clerk will be assigned to one district with the possibility to move from one site to another the area. He/She will work under the guidance and supervision of the Public Health Evaluation Officer and the Strategic Information and Evaluation Officer. He/She will be primarily responsible for data abstraction from primary sources using smartphones or paper-based questionnaires. He/She will also ensure maintaining safety and confidentiality of the data abstracted according to the Ethics in Human subject activities principles. He/She will collaborate with all frontline staffs including Site Lead, Data Clerk, Associate M&E officers, etc and will ensure compliance with data management procedures in order to support complete and timely transmission of data through the server.
