Main objective and tasks |
The FFA Field Monitor is in charge of the smooth implementation of the all the Cash based transfer-related activities under the supervision of the FFA Supervisor. S/he will ensure that the activities are delivered timely and compliant to the donor’s and INTERSOS policies and requirements. S/he is also in charge of the supervision of the community volunteers and manages the interaction with community-level stakeholders. 1. Community Mobilization – Explains and ensures the good acceptance of in INTERSOS’ activities and builds positive relationships with community volunteers and members of the different committees involved in food distribution activities. – Ensure the smooth briefing of the community volunteers and supervises their work. – Explains to the community their roles and participation in the project implementation strategy, the Accountability and the compliance to the humanitarian principles – With the support of the Protection & gender officer, runs the sensitization campaigns and ensures that the operations are inclusive towards gender, disability and vulnerabilities – Relays issues, concerns raised by the community stakeholders 2. Cash Transfer site management – Organizes pre-distribution meetings to ensure the full awareness of the community on the distribution operation – Ensures that the final exchange/identification point is accessible, inclusive and safe for both the staffs, beneficiaries and third parties (TPM, Providers, etc) – Ensures that delivery deadlines are respected and that they are generally well organized. – Ensures that each beneficiary has a fast and clear access to the resource |
– Ensures that complaints and remarks are considered and processed with the full support of the relevant committee, and committee volunteer – Propose optimizations and improvement to the distribution processes – Relays issues, concerns raised by the community volunteers, beneficiaries and committee members. 3. Data management – Under the supervision of the MEAL Officer, assist with the data collection, surveys and reporting. – Ensure the quality of the data collected and ensure its timely submission to the relevant Officer – Ensure that forms, lists and other paper evidence is properly filled, signed and archived, both physically and electronically 4. Reporting – Prepare and timely submit compliant distribution sitreps, meeting minutes, daily and weekly reports to the CBT officer – Provide information on activities as requested by the Project Manager or M&E team. – Assists in obtaining the informed consent of the beneficiaries of success stories – Collects quality and documented pictures of operations and ensures their proper backup – Verify the consistency and quality of the information provided by the team of community mobilizers and ensure its compilation and validation by the Distribution Officer. 5. Accountability – Engages the community stakeholders into using the complaint mechanism tools to report misbehaviours, fraud and abuses. – Ensure that committees are functional, accessible and reliable. – Ensure the appropriate and diligent processing of any complaint raised by the beneficiaries or any stakeholder – Through the keeping of a register, the advertising of the complaint boxs, helpline numbers, ensure that beneficiaries’ opinions and suggestions on project activities are taken into account. |

Educational and professional experience required |
• University diploma in social sciences, management, agronomy and / rural development and any related scientific field • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a humanitarian context, in an association, NGO or INGO • Proven work experience in CBT food distribution in a similar context. • At least 6 months of field work experience in the NW or SW regions during the context of crisis • Experience working and / or collaborating on a WFP project would be an asset • Experience of at least 1 year at similar level would be an asset |
Technical and behavioral competencies required |
• IT: Basic functional Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, outlook), • Mainstream web navigators (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox) |
Languages | • Fluency in both written and oral formal English • Fluency in Pidgin English |
