Cameroon Mining is a leading company in the mining industry, with operations across Africa. We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our team and oversee our accounting and financial operations.
As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and publishing timely and accurate financial statements and reports
- Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations and standards
- Managing the budgeting and forecasting process and providing financial analysis and advice to senior management
- Supervising and mentoring the accounting staff and ensuring their professional development
- Liaising with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Financial Controller or a similar role in the mining industry
- A professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
