Recruitment notice: Financial controller at CMC CAMEROON MINING COMPANY SARL

Cameroon Mining is a leading company in the mining industry, with operations across Africa. We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our team and oversee our accounting and financial operations.

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

Preparing and publishing timely and accurate financial statements and reports
Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls
Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations and standards
Managing the budgeting and forecasting process and providing financial analysis and advice to senior management
Supervising and mentoring the accounting staff and ensuring their professional development
Liaising with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
At least 5 years of proven experience as a Financial Controller or a similar role in the mining industry
A professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
