TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE SELECTION OF INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATORS
NRC for its activities in the Eastern and Adamaoua region is launching this recruitment to constitute a database of enumerators.
The investigator contributes to the collection of data for all of the different areas of NRC intervention for which he/she is requested.
He maintains his independence and is not an employee of NRC. The investigator will be contacted for this purpose if necessary and paid by the task and upon presentation of an invoice.
1. General Responsibilities
Collects data and information on behalf of the organization
Works in accordance with NRC policies, tools, manuals and guidelines Ensures the good quality of the information collected, or captures the collected data
2. Tasks Specific
Participates in data collection orientation session, testing of data collection tools and debriefing;
Objectively ensures the collection of data from those interviewed;
Clearly explains the purpose of the survey, the data collection process and the rights of those surveyed •
Ensures the consistency and good quality of the information collected;
Ensures the confidentiality of information collected from those interviewed;
Reports all problems and difficulties encountered during the investigation;
Suggests possible improvements for data collection
3. Profile and desired qualities
Work experience in data collection activities;
Previous experience working in complex and unstable environments, In-depth knowledge of the social, cultural, economic and legal context of Adamawa and Eastern Cameroon Ability to communicate
with interviewees i
Ability to use tablets for data collection Kobo tools or other platforms selected for the survey,
Have at least a baccalaureate level;
Mastery of French, both spoken and written;
Fluency in English is an asset •
Residing in one of the following departments: Kadey, Lom and Djerem; Boumba & Ngoko and Mbéré would be an asset
Mastery of a language from the survey area (Sango, FuFuldé, Baya);
Ability to respect the barrier measures against the COVID-19 pandemic during the service
