The Cameroonian Association of Women Doctors, abbreviated as ACAFEM, is an organization under the law of December 19, 1990, which works to improve the reproductive and sexual health of the Cameroonian populations through promotion, health education, advocacy and services.
In order to ensure the implementation of activities within the framework of the CHILL project with its partners, ACAFEM is launching an internal and external call for applications for the recruitment of a GBV Focal Point.
Duration of the Contract: 12 months trial period including
Type of Contract: CDD – full time
Salary intention: according to the salary grid
Location of the position: Yaoundé
Main tasks: Under the responsibility of the DIC Manager, the GBV focal point will have to perform the tasks following:
• Identify and document all GBV cases;
• Develop a human rights program on behalf of ACAFEM;
• Plan, coordinate and evaluate activities relating to the rights of beneficiaries carried out on behalf of ACAFEM;
• Conduct education, research and advocacy activities relating to the rights of beneficiaries;
• Ensure the effectiveness of the protection of the rights of beneficiaries;
• Mobilize the necessary educational material;
• Produce periodic activity reports;
• Participate in the drafting of innovative projects in the field of human rights;
• Provide first line response to identified GBV cases;
• Make the referencing and the follow-up of the patients;
• Organize advocacy activities aimed at law enforcement and community leaders;
• Ensure the socio-professional promotion of beneficiaries;
• Organize communication and behavior change activities;
• Contribute to the popularization of voluntary screening counseling for the beneficiaries of the center;
• Update beneficiary registers;
Job profile
He/She must:
• Have at least a baccalaureate +2 in social sciences or equivalent;
• A minimum of two (02) year experience required in GBV prevention and support;
• Have a good knowledge of the health districts where ACAFEM operates;
• Strong capacity for analysis, mastery and management of data and database;
• Relevant experience in working with local and international NGOs;
• Concrete knowledge on HIV/ in general and on key and vulnerable populations in particular;
• Have experience with vulnerable people;
• Strong teamwork and organizational skills;
• Work in strict respect of confidentiality;
• Be able to work under high pressure;
• Be fully available for the duration of the project;
• Good written and oral communication;
• Relational capacity;
• Achievement of assigned objectives;
• Timely transmission of data to M&E for processing;
• Production and transmission of action plans and reports on time;
• Compliance with the implementation schedule;
• Compliance with defined procedures and standards;
• Attendance at the post and at coordination meetings, data collection/work sessions/follow-up of recommendations;
• Be tolerant and endowed with a spirit of non-judgment;
• Have a perfect mastery of computer tools (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, etc.);
• Be dynamic, honest, motivated and innovative;
• Have the spirit of initiative;
• Respect for hierarchy;
• The incumbent of this position must be able to work independently and outside normal working hours to meet the association’s quality and deadline requirements.

Schedule and Working Days
o Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a 1 hour break at midday;
o Days: Monday to Friday and Saturdays depending on the results to be achieved
NB: rearrangements of working days and hours are regular
