Tasks | 1. External representation and coordination – Ensures the good acceptance of in INTERSOS’ activities and builds positive relationships with all the project stakeholders in the areas of intervention – Ensures regular and active presence at all the technical and general meetings in all the localities and the coordination hubs where the project is being implemented. – Ensures the collection and the quality of the information shared – Builds and maintains good relations with all project stakeholders – Ensures the effective, fluid and timely communication with WFP staff on the field operations 2. Supervision and monitoring – Develops activity work plans, and program updates/reports. – Guarantees the proper implementation of the project activities, approaches and strategies. – Ensures the activities are compliant to the organization and donor’s relevant policies, approaches and practices. – Ensures full administrative compliance of the project’s activities to the authorities and organizes the proper follow-up of any pending or ongoing matters – Guarantees of the proper use and reporting of all of the organization’s monitoring and management tools, including the procurement plan, financial plans and the PAT. – Proposes, disseminates and ensures the proper use of validated technical tools and, if the context requires it, suggests their modification or the implementation of new tools. – Follows-up and timely report on any operational constraint 3. Human resource management – Monitors, empowers and appraises the performance of all of the project’s team under his/her direct supervision. – Ensures that the whole team’s performance is properly monitored and developed, according to the organization’s policy. |
– Clarifies the roles, assigns clear tasks/responsibilities and builds roadmaps to each member of the team under his/her supervision. – Ensures a clear delegation of responsibilities and empowers the team members under his/her supervision – Identifies the technical gaps in reporting, implementation, and accountability, and in conjunction with the relevant coordinators, develops a training curriculum to address the relevant issues. – Relays the operational issues raised by the teams to the mission management 4. Data management – In collaboration with the M&E Officer, supports the indicator’s data collection. – Ensures the quality of the data reported – Ensures program filing system functional and accessible, adheres to internal and donor regulation and filing is regularly maintained 5. Reporting – Contributes to effective program reporting, monitoring and evaluation systems for both internal and external use in coordination with the other program staff. – Provides weekly project updates, capturing activities progress, lessons learned, success stories on the program – Ensures the quality of the donor reports within the internal deadlines – Ensures the timely feedback of validated information every relevant humanitarian coordination body 6. Analysis and strategy – Analyzes the project’s weak and strong points through team impact surveys and monitoring surveys. – Analyzes the operational context, identify financing opportunities and the different risks for the project and the organization. – Supports any internal assessment initiative in the areas covered by the project. – Participates in the preparation of new proposals, as well as the modification of the project under his/her responsibility 7. Accountability – Ensures that all accountability tools are implemented at all stages of the project and ensures their optimal functioning. – Ensures the proper training of the teams and actively reports cases of fraud or abuse, including cases of SEA found by the teams or partners, in conjunction with the PSEA Focal Point. – Guarantees the proper implementation of the CFM, and the internal feedback mechanism for the project’s activities. |

Educational and professional |
• Master’s degree in social sciences, management, agronomy and / or Rural development and any related scientific field • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a humanitarian context, in an association, NGO or INGO |
experience required |
• Proven work experience in In-kind food distribution in a similar context. • At least 1 year of field work experience in the NW or SW context during the crisis • Experience working and / or collaborating on a WFP project would be an asset • Team management experience of at least 1 year at similar level would be an asset |
Technical and behavioral competencies required |
• IT: Advanced Knowledge of • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, outlook), • Mainstream web navigators (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox) • Web-based mainstream chat and conferencing tools/platforms (Skype, Teams, Zoom and WebEx) • Web 2.0 tools (cloud storage, webmail and others) |
Languages | • Fluency in both written and oral formal English • Fluency in Pidgin English |
