Main duties
Under the supervision of the Director of Information Systems and Publication, the incumbent is mainly responsible for:
➢ participate in the development of the IT strategy / policy;
➢ develop and implement service action plans;
➢ manage the technical infrastructures of the Information System;
➢ ensure the maintenance of computer hardware, network and software;
➢ provide technical assistance to all users;
➢ implement the organization’s information system backup and recovery policy;
➢ administer the computer and telephone network of the Organization;
➢ administer the IT security system;
➢ manage IT incidents;
➢ create and manage rights and access to the system;
➢ administer the Organization’s electronic messaging system;
➢ ensure the follow-up of contracts and software licenses;
➢ ensure compliance with procedures within the department;
➢ ensure the management of employees;
➢ carry out service reports;
➢ to participate in work and meetings in conjunction with other departments and departments;
➢ to carry out the reporting of the service.
Qualifications required :
➢ Have a degree in Design Engineering (BAC+5) in IT, Network Telecoms or any other degree recognized as equivalent by the competent authority;
➢ Have at least five (05) years of professional experience in the field in a design and management position;
➢ Have proven experience of the operation and role of an information system;
➢ Have knowledge of applications, main computer languages and operating systems;
➢ Have a good command of security standards and IT risk management;
➢ Have a good knowledge of intellectual property professions;
➢ Have a good organization in the work, be rigorous on the respect of deadlines and be able to work under pressure;
➢ Have an excellent knowledge of the French language;
➢ Having a good knowledge of the English language would be an asset.
Composition of the application file
All candidates for this position must compile a file containing the following documents:
➢ a duly completed application form (available on the website www.oapi.int ) ;
➢ an extract from the birth certificate or a certified true copy of the birth certificate or the supplementary judgment in lieu thereof;
➢ a detailed curriculum vitae;
➢ an extract from the criminal record dating from less than three months;
➢ a certified true copy of diplomas, titles, qualification certificates, work certificates;
➢ a regularly established certificate of public or private jobs previously held and indicating their duration;
➢ a certificate of medical examination, dating from less than three months, attesting that the candidate fulfills the conditions of physical and mental aptitude.
Remuneration
The position is classified in category C3 of the salary scale in force at OAPI. Recruitment is done at the 1st level. The person concerned will benefit from the advantages and allowances under the conditions provided for by the texts in force.
Elements of the commitment file
The successful candidate must, prior to taking up duty:
➢ present the originals of their diplomas, titles and civil status documents;
➢ provide a sworn statement of free employment if he is not a civil servant or an act of secondment if he is a civil servant.
