Main missions:

The cook’s mission is to make starters, main courses and desserts which will then be served to hotel guests, to prepare menus and develop dishes, to carry out the cooking of food, to take care of the dressing of the plates etc…

Main activities:
✓Develop a provisional list of products necessary for the achievements;
✓Carry out inventories;
✓ Store the foodstuffs according to the methods prescribed in the establishment;
✓ Receive and verify the quantity and quality of product deliveries: ✓ Determine material needs, schedule and plan tasks according to production: ✓ Develop
new technical sheets, carry out preliminary preparations, carry out all basic funds, mother sauces,…:
✓ Make recipes from technical sheets, make dishes according to the menu, special orders…:
✓Check preparations (tasting, analysis and rectification)
✓ Create menus, cook the dishes, take care of the decoration and presentation of the plates and check the preparations;
✓Manage food orders and supply;
✓ Clean and use kitchen equipment and appliances, control food preservation and the quality of ingredients:
✓ Supervise and organize the work of staff (dishwasher, assistant cook, kitchen clerk).

Training and operational skills:
✓ BTS hotel and catering option Culinary arts.
✓Professional catering baccalaureate or hotel technology baccalaureate
✓CAP cuisine
✓Have at least 2 years of experience in the kitchen and have already worked in one or more hotels

Know how to be:
✓ Have manual control during preparation, competence in cooking techniques professional kitchen;
✓Have talent and creativity;
✓ Have great management and organizational skills;
✓ Be precise and neat in the work;
✓Have good resistance to fatigue and stress.
