JOB OFFER: 01 (one) Head of Department of Legal Affairs, Recovery and Litigation – VISION FINANCE SA – Microfinance Establishment, Yaoundé

Job title: 01 (one) Head of Department of Legal Affairs, Collections and Litigation
Location: Yaoundé – Cameroon
Main mission: Attached to General Management, the Head of the Legal Affairs, Collections and Litigation Department manages all legal problems within the framework of the company’s activity.




 

I. MAIN ACTIVITIES
– Supervise and coordinate the litigation client portfolio in compliance with the company’s risk policy;
– Supervise and coordinate internal procedures and local legislation;
– Manage relationships with the various actors involved in monitoring the overall portfolio of doubtful clients and those in litigation: lawyers, bailiffs, local administration, etc. ;
– Supervise the members of the department team at the Center (branches and agencies included);
– Actively participate in the identification of skills needs and recruitment;
– Ensure the transfer of skills between team members;
– Define and implement the collection and litigation policy;
– Verification of compliance with the rules (laws, regulations, directives, conventions, etc.) by each service;
– Ensure the legal monitoring necessary for any contractual or non-contractual document involving the responsibility of the structure and branches: Mortgage Guarantees, framework agreement, leases, contracts, etc. ;
– Draft, verify or negotiate contracts such as commercial agreements, insurance policies, service contracts, etc.;
– Provide legal advice and pre-litigation;
– Submit patent applications;
– Monitor annuities;
– Carry out intellectual property (patent, patent family, etc.);
– Provide assistance to lawyers;
– Analyze the figures;
– Lead and organize internal meetings;
– Define the objectives to be achieved by employees;
– Carry out annual interviews and set the objectives to be achieved;
– Identify and define the training needs of its employees.

 

II. SKILLS
Basic profile:
– Holder of at least a bac +4 or bac +5 in law with a specialty in business law, contract law, intellectual property law or even financial law;
– And/or 05 years of equivalent professional experience preferably in a banking environment;
– Have strong analytical skills (ability to extract, compile and analyze data);
– Have good organizational and monitoring skills;
– Have good verbal and written communication skills in French;
– Be able to work under pressure.
Know-how:
– Anaytical and synthetical mind
– Legal reasoning and capacity for abstraction
– Precision and clarity
– Advisory and audit capacity.
– Rigor and method,
– Ability to manage a team,
– Ability to negotiate.
Soft skills:
– Perfect mastery of OHADA law;
– Mastery of amicable and procedural recovery techniques;
– Mastery of regulations and fundamentals related to its area of ​​intervention;
– Knowledge of commercial law, Cameroonian contract law and guarantee law;
– Knowledge of banking regulations;
– Knowledge of basic regulations in legal and tax terms;
– Knowledge of all banking risks;
– Mastery of the characteristics of the services; banking and insurance products.
