AFRICA FOOD MANUFACTURE   SA is looking for an HR MANAGER

Reporting to the Group Human Resources Department, the HR Manager will be responsible for:

ü   Ensure the development of resources

ü  Ensure the administrative management of human resources in accordance with internal standards and best practices

ü  Provide HR expertise to other team members

 

 




 

ACTIVITIES

Participation in the definition of the HR strategy

  • Understand and decline the company’s HR strategy according to the managed population.
  • Determine the flagship projects according to this strategy and the expectations of the operational staff (escalate them to their hierarchy).
  • Propose and validate the nature and schedule of HR projects with his hierarchy.

 Advice and support for operational staff

  • Respond to operational requests in all areas of HR (labour law, training, recruitment, employment contracts, career management, compensation, IRP management, etc.).
  • Call upon, if necessary, specialized expertise (internal or external).
  •  Provide support to managers in the application of labor law and in the development of teams (recruitment, career management, etc.).
  • Supporting operational staff in their decisions relating to HR (recruitment, dismissal, evaluation interview, promotion, conflict, social litigation, etc.), helping them to integrate the HR variable into their strategic decisions.
  • Define and ensure the application by operational staff of all HR procedures.

 



 

Implementation of HR projects

  • Independently lead the multiple HR projects corresponding to the HR strategy: implementation of the HRIS, new organization chart, organization of working time, etc.
  • Coordinate activities, monitor and control implementations.
  • Set up HR monitoring and reporting tools.
  • Evaluate operational satisfaction with the HR service rendered and the expected results.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

PROFILE

  •              Academic level: Bac +5 specialized in Human Resources Management, Labor Law, Sociology, Psychology.
  •  Additional training and/or qualification: Business school (ideally with option or specialization in human resources)
  •  Professional experience: 5-7 years minimum
  •  Maximum age: 45

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Versatility in all areas of human resources management: recruitment, training, employment law, career management, payroll. This is indeed a generalist position.

  •    Economic and financial culture, in order to promote dialogue with operational staff and to be credible with them
  •  Knowledge of the company’s trades and in particular of those which correspond to the managed population.
  •      Proficiency in IT tools (especially Word) and HR software

 

 




 

PERSONALITY TRAITS

  • Good oral and written communication in order to establish quality relationships with internal and external interlocutors (the interfaces are numerous)
  • Listening skills in order to take into account the expectations of operational staff
  • Flexibility and firmness in the context of relations with operational staff
  • Force of conviction to get ideas and projects across, as well as a certain ability to negotiate
  • Sense of organization to carry out these projects and control their implementation
  • Ability to lead several projects at the same time because the application points of the HR profession are numerous
