TOURIST PROSPECTIVE AND QUALITY OFFICER

  GENERAL MISSIONS
Under the authority of the Tourism Governance, Quality and Prospective Manager, the Tourism Prospective and Quality Officer provides the essential link between tourism service providers, in the quality approach and in the approach economic observation of tourism in the Western region.

ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
Observation and monitoring:
Collect, process and analyze data on tourist activities in the region (investments, attendance, consumption, etc.) necessary for the analysis of tourist activity in the West.
Develop, write, edit and distribute reports and notes on the seasonal tourist situation
Develop comparative studies in order to identify the market share of the Western region in comparison with the level of national performance…

rganize training sessions for the benefit of the actors identified in relation to the trends highlighted both at the level of the supply than demand Formulate proposals for action to be taken on the basis of insights from analysis reports
Conduct various surveys of tourism stakeholders Collective quality approach (collective commitment): Make service providers aware of a collective commitment in a quality approach of the offer and the reception signified by a regional quality label
Set up a quality reference system for the various sectors (accommodation, visit sites, catering, leisure, transport, etc.)
Organize awareness training on the quality approach and monitor the proper application of the West Tourism Quality reference system
Develop and disseminate visitor satisfaction questionnaires and ensure the follow-up of complaints
Supervise the operational follow-up of the implementation of the Tourism Quality approach in the tourist structures of the West
Raise awareness among the actors of the West of compliance with the standards in force in Cameroon.
NB: At the request of the hierarchy, the Tourism Prospective and Quality Officer may be required to carry out activities not provided for in this job description. These may be the activities of ORTOC or its partners
Diploma / Training required / Experience
– hold a Bac +2 in statistics, economics, tourism, economics or equivalent – ​​Justify at least 3 years of experience in a similar position

SKILLS – REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE – KNOW-HOW
Mastery of tourist observation data collection techniques
Permanent monitoring of developments in observation techniques and analysis of tourist statistical data useful to the territory.
Good experience in descriptive statistics
Very good knowledge of the tourist offer and very good relations of trust with the tourist professionals of the territory
Sense of organization and rigor
Knowledge of the standards and regulations in terms of quality, hygiene, safety and the environment,
A good knowledge of the world of Tourism
Analytical skills, Flexibility,
Taste for teamwork,
Documentary research / Monitoring and forecasting in the field of tourist observation

Functional relations – With the INS, the statistical service of the DR/MINTOUL, MINEPAT, ANOR, the commissions of the Regional Council, etc. – With the heads of the ORTOC poles and all the teams of the ORTOC
