DOCTORS SANS FRONTIERES – MSF is a non-governmental humanitarian organization, created in France in 1971, under the status of a non-profit association. The Swiss section was created in 1981. Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1999, MSF aims to provide humanitarian medical aid to any affected population without distinction of ethnicity, gender, religion, philosophy or political opinion.

Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland is looking for a maintenance agent for the KOUSSERI project.
Place of work: Kousseri
Type of contract: Fixed-term contract of 1.5 months
Date of entry into office: As soon as possible
Direct manager: Human Resources Manager
GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
Carry out, in accordance with hygiene standards, housekeeping, cleaning and tidying up to keep public areas and private staff areas in good condition.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets and other rooms in MSF houses.
Take care of laundry, ironing clothes and other housework.
Help the cook (dishes, cleaning the kitchen, etc.).
Sweep and mop the floors.

Responsible for replenishing supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as needed.
When people arrive, prepare hot water for tea/coffee and replenish drinking water supplies.
Check that toilets are well stocked with paper, soap and condoms.
Check that the water supply (kitchen, showers, etc.) is sufficient during water outages.
Keep premises properly locked (doors, windows).

Selection Criteria
Training: Primary level studies
Desirable experience of 2 years in housekeeping, house maintenance and cooking,
Experience working with international NGOs very desirable v/ French (writing, reading and speaking)
Able to work in autonomy, Capacity for analysis and initiative
Required qualities: Patience, flexibility, resourcefulness, ability to work under pressure with people from a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment, good physical condition, autonomy, punctuality.

A recent detailed CV mentioning the different experiences
A copy of the work certificates (and recommendations from previous employers) A copy of the national identity card
