A marketing department coordinator works with the business development manager or marketing department manager to help implement the marketing plan to enhance the reputation of the hotel brand.

What will my role be?

As a Marketing Department Coordinator, you work with the Business Development Manager or Marketing Department Manager to help implement the marketing plan to enhance the reputation of the hotel brand. More specifically, a marketing department coordinator performs the following tasks in accordance with the highest standards:

 



 

 

  • Communicate effectively, in order to target markets, services and facilities and hotel benefits, including renovations, dining options, as well as events such as conferences or banquets
  • Work with local partners, including local media, and maintain professional relationships with local official entities
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive media and marketing contact management system relevant to the hotel’s target audiences
  • Work closely with all hotel departments, actively seeking opportunities and planned promotions to address specific business challenges as needed
  • Contribute to the development of promotional activities, marketing channels, and the production of marketing materials for specific events
  • Manage and promote the hotel on websites
  • Work within marketing budgets using resources efficiently
  • Maintain a comprehensive media and marketing contact management system relevant to the hotel’s target audiences

As a Marketing Department Coordinator, you are constantly working for the well-being of our customers, in collaboration with other team members. For this role, you must adopt the following attitude, behaviors, skills and values:

  • Ability to understand key business metrics and business trends, and develop approaches to address these challenges
  • Intermediate level of computer skills
  • Proven organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure at all times

For this position, demonstrating the following abilities and distinctions would be an advantage:

  • Experience in the hospitality or leisure industry
  • Experience in marketing or in a similar environment
  • Basic knowledge of budget and cost management
  • Relevant degree in marketing, business development or any other relevant field from an academic institution
